Unfortunately, he couldn’t use it during the regular season since our league only allows -8 for 12U, but that’s on the rules not the bat. Great bat for the price... it swings heavy. Got my son the -8 instead of a -5 because of how heavy it swings. But its a solid bat and we both love it. Was gunna go hype fire or rawlings icon. But im tired of buy 400 dollar bats that last a season or 2 before hes grown out of it. And compared to the kids swinging those bats on his team id say there really is no visual or real noticable difference where id say, "ok ill buy him the more expensive bat because he'll get the extra 15 feet and that will get him over the fence." And for the price its a steal. Its a top 5 or 6 bat in usssa and is less than half the cost. Your son can have his swag at a reasonable price... my thoughts, so there u go. ... show more

Bat has some nice pop. My 10U son uses this and swings a 29 drop 10. He is a well-built kid and can really swing this one. I loved the price for this bat on Amazon. At my local sports shop this bad was over double the cost. My boy seams really happy with it.

more barrel heavy than the 2020 prime, Boys prefer the 2020 model. It does have a nice grip and pop. Just the seems to have a heavier swing weight.
