The book pictured is the more exspensive leather bound with an actual leather handle.That is what I thought I had ordered. Recieved the less exspensive version with the photographed glossy cover of a leather bound book and handle. The inside first cover attached page was a little torn and hard cover a little beat up..the book was shipped in a padded envelope which was torn so bad all the cotton padding was coming out and was all over the book. Frankly I dont know how it even stayed in the envelope----other than that... the book itself is amazing if you love Louis Vuitton--the history alone is so informative---lots of color photography---over 600pages of fun entertainment--I kept it, for $83.00 it was worth that--plus If I sent it back--who knows the next one might be in worse condition. ... show more

If you are a Louis Vuitton collector as I am, or LV enthusiast, this tome will be a magnificent addition to your collection, or to your library. It is full of remarkable LV family history and full of the most beautiful photographs, some suitable for framing. It contains manyo of the LV Posters for example, that I've tried to collect, and now have them in this book. It could make a wonderful coffee table book this holiday season. One drawback: The center page is wonderful but terribly flawed by the center binding. It should have been a pull-out page instead. I also saw it on eBay for more dollars and listed as "rare". Hardly! Yet I bet even the most devoted collector will only glance through it a couple times and put it aside. If you are looking for the definitive Louis Vuitton book....this is it. I have most of them, and this is by far the best. It is the most comprehensive, and the best put together of the bunch. I highly recommend it.
