Like many reviewers, my cat has an allergy to unidentified protein(s) - so he must eat proteins other than the usual catfood ingredients such as chicken, beef, tuna... Both my Kittens loved Lotus- Venison in 2.5 cans until almost 2years old. Then Pet Express could not get it anymore. Right after it was stopped- ordered once from Amazon and cats didn't like it ( remember they LOVED it before) Ive been giving the other food, hoping original Lotus make/distributor would return. I decided to try once again. I ordered on Amazon... said 4-6 weeks delivery, ( interesting). My cats will eat it sometimes and not others. It like it's not the same although label looks the same. Does anyone know what happened? It's also much thinner and watery now. I'm worried I'm giving something bad to my cats. :( ... show more

USER BEWARE..will your cat love this..sure ...my 14lb fluffy maine coon mix loves it, actually love is an understatement. I originally ordered this to supplement his ziwi venison pate. No problems getting my fluffy monster to eat it, except it backfired on me in that he refused to touch the ziwi food anymore...will ONLY eat this stew...and will wake me up at 4 AM for it now. I have a cat with chronic pancreatitis who's been on prescription food for a while. My vet has been having trouble getting deliveries of the prescription food so I've been looking for an alternative and this was listed as a healthy food for cats with pancreatitis. Normally when I feed my cats, I have to watch and make sure the one cat sticks to his prescription food. It must be bland stuff because he leaves a lot behind and my other cat won't finish it off for him. I've tried other healthy alternative brands and watched as just walked away from it, even when I mixed it with food they liked. It doesn't matter how healthy a food might be, if I can't get my cats to eat it, it's worthless. Today I opened a can of Lotus Venison Stew for my ailing cat and put some down unmixed to see what his first reaction would be. I fully expected him to turn his nose up and walk away. Instead both cats converged on his dish and were pushing each other so they could get to it. I had to put down a second plate of the Venison Stew for my other cat so he'd let the first cat eat, and this was while he still had a plate of his own Fancy Feast sitting there waiting for him. ... show more

I am so happy I found this food for my IBD kitty! It's been hard finding something she likes and she loves the venison food! It hasn't caused any stomach upset and I love the size of the cans as my feline princess likes freshly opened cans. I am her servant.

Be aware!!!: Not happy with my experience I had with this company. I bought this to try cos i couldn't find it locally. All the places gives 100%money back guarantee if your pet doesn't like the food. Well I wanted to return this cos my cat only ate some but when i add this food 100% he refused to eat it and is expensive. So the options to return it was that I have to pay for a return label and if you use some food they will discount some % off it as well. In my case they want to take an extra 15% off cos the case of wet food now is open and incomplete. ... show more
