Description

Soho file cabinet offers convenient storage of files and supplies with an accessory drawer on top and two file drawers with Smooth-Glide suspension. The accessory drawer is perfect for cell phones, tablets, cables and small supplies. The full high-side drawers accommodate letter-size, hanging file folders. The lock secures the two top drawers. Four casters allow you to move the pedestal where you need it. Three-drawer organizer also includes an 18" Depth, recessed plastic handles and steel construction with a baked enamel finish. I rated this as high as four, because it was at decent price for 3 drawers, I could get it quick and happened to be in the color I wanted. I wasn't wanting to spend much and if it cost anymore, I would have to rate it a 3. The reason for that is because the locking mechanism is pretty weak. If you want something fairly secure, and not just a minor deterrent, this isn't it. For my purpose, it works. ... show more

Adding some information to my prior review. First I thought it was just the handles that had poor quality and poor fit screws. Well, friends, it is also the casters as well. I thought, ok, I can add washers (not provided) to make up for the space left by the screws in the handles. So thought I would quickly dispatch installation of the casters. Guess what. The screw holes do NOT fit the screws. Apparently this may be by design - if you could get the screws into the pre drilled holes by enlarging them yourself, it would be a tight fit. No, folks, do not buy this item unless you want to feel frustration and rage while “assembling” the handles and casters. Go to staples and buy the thing already put together for the same price. Now I know why, when I ordered the ‘returned” version for $99, it arrived fully dented. Somebody felt the same way I do now. ORIGINAL POST: Poor details. Good grief. If I weren’t reluctant to lug this to ups to return it, I would return it just for the screws and handles nightmare. You screw it in so far and it stops. Never tightens all the way. Re-seating and restarting over and over because you just KNOE they will screw all the way this 7th try. Expletive deleted, no. A bit this in the metal for over $100. I may still return it if I can muster the energy. Super disappointed. ... show more

This 3 drawer filing cabinet by Lorell is a good value. I love having the casters and the teal color. It was simply easy to install the 3 handles & 4 casters to the unit. The two file drawers are already full, and I love having the small drawer at the top to store office essentials. It's not super thick steel so I'm concerned about it getting dented easily but the value was more important to me at this time. I love the color so much that I ordered two bookcases, and I'm going to paint them an aqua or light teal color that will coordinate with this filing cabinet. I'm very pleased, and I'm thinking about ordering another one. ... show more
