  • Perfect mushrooming tool
Don’t believe the negative reviews. I been playing pool for 30 years and this tool is so easy to use and produces perfect results! Just don’t use on a shaft that’s larger than 13mm.

  • Does a good job
Does a good job cutting the excess mushroom off the tip. Just need to have a burnisher to burnish the tip afterwards.

  • Great tool to have!! Really!!!
This is certainly a tools all players should have. I usually play with Kamui super soft, so after a few months it tends to mushroom a little. This tool was super easy to use, remove the shaft, insert and twist. Literally that easy. Just make sure you watch where the blade is contacting the tip. I saw a reviewer say it messed up their shaft… this tool is to trim the tip. So if you let the blade touch the shaft or Ferrule, it will shave it down, too!. Soft silicon to protect the shaft is also a nice touch. Highly recommend!!! Will buy more to hand out at Christmas. Really liking this tool. Saves me from re-tipping every 8-12 months. :) ... show more

  • Does the Trick
The media could not be loaded. I have been playing pool a long time and usually dealt with mushrooming tips by carrying a small razor in my bag and doing it the old fashioned way. I came across this item and as a user of other Longoni products figured this must be a quality piece as well and grabbed it. I have a range of shafts including with varying diameters, those being: Kielwood 12.5mm, Carbon Fiber 11.8mm, Hard Rock Maple 13mm, Carbon Fiber 13mm and a standard maple 13mm. All have varying ferrule lengths as well. I used this tool on all of my shafts to eliminate the mushroom of my cue tip. Other reviewers mentioned the item not fitting "american" cue shafts, I did not have that issue at all. However there is a part of this device that applies pressure to keep the tip in place and does require the tiniest bit of pressure to be slid onto the cue. There is also a silicone ring of sorts on the device as well to keep from damaging the shaft while the you spin the shaft in the cutter. I highly recommend this item for any pool player to keep in their bag. My only worry as a consumer is if the blade inside is easily changed or if I have to buy a whole new unit. ... show more

  • Works perfect
This this is awesome!! I use it for a trimmer only. If you think it’s gonna shape your tip then you might be disappointed. If you use a soft tip then you know it will start to mushroom over time. This will trim the tip even with the ferrule without damaging. Everyone that had used it has ended up ordering one for themselves!! If you are using bigger than 12.5 mm shaft then you’re probably out of luck, I don’t think it will fit. ... show more
