I personally ordered the .4cm 12” locs. I wanted to add length to my existing locs. They arrived on time, actually, I think they came a day early so I definitely won’t complain about that at all. Upon arrival I inspected them. They appeared very well made and to the description the company specified. They are, in fact, real human hair. I did a burn test to check a small section for verification. Some other locs that I got from other companies have arrived in inferior condition compared to these. These DID NOT have a dirty/unpleasant smell. They were super easy to install with the included .5mm crochet needle. I did stitch them in for additional support as I have a different hair texture and want to ensure that these stay in the way I hope for them to do. I have had them in for about two weeks now and I am very satisfied. As a scuba instructor I am constantly in and out of the water and sun. These are holding up very well and I haven’t had to do any maintenance other than the typical palm rolling after I rinse all of the salt water out of them and wash my scalp. Overall, these are a huge value for the cost and I would definitely recommend buying these. I am a happy customer, for sure. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. February 15th - received My loc journey is a funny story this would be my third set of locs but my first set ever with extensions. These locs are true to description. I got the 4 inch 0.4 cm width locs. Definitely wash them before installing, I boiled mine in hot water and shampoo to start off with. Washed them three more times with hot tap water ( really until the water was clear ) and also conditioned them in water mixed with conditioner. I let those sit for about 15 minutes then washed them out again. Laid them on a towel blow dried them and started my install. They attach very well ( I attached them to started locs that I started myself ) , but if you don’t know what you’re doing I’d suggest going to a loctician or professional stylist. Now the locs are itchy even after washing so many times ( I believe just the texture of them makes it that way.) I’ve seen reviews with them getting bleached and dyed and I also plan to do that after a while just want to let my locs set in. It is definitely on the pricey side ($200-600) to get these installed by a professional so If you’re able to do it on your own DO IT! TIMES ARE HARD LOL. I will do my first retwist but after I will be going to a salon to get my hair done because that was the main reason of me cutting my last set off. ( got tired of doing it , couldn’t afford to get it done ) I’m up a little better money wise now. I will update with another picture of me freshly retwisted ! Update Feb 18th - retwist after installation Hair looks absolutely natural my husband loves it and says you couldn’t tell they are extension. THE ITCHINESS!!!!! My goodness you would’ve thought after all I did—-(boiling them , shampoo x3 and conditioning x2) would’ve made them soft and natural like. HONEY as soon as I get home I put my bonnet on. My neck is breaking out a bit from the itchiness of the locs. Like they’re scratchy as if it were synthetic hair. I’m going to the salon in a couple weeks to get them redone and styled maybe a steam treatment will help. In the meantime idk what to do about the itchiness other than wearing a bonnet after work hours. While I’m at work I find myself lifting up the collar of my shirt to protect my neck from the rough locs. Update: April 25th, 2025!!! Added pic with brown shirt is my locs now. 3 retwist later and they have grown and look more natural than when installing. They’re not as itchy as they were at first. They are still a little scratchy. I love them still and will continue to thrive with them. ... show more
