Light weight and compact size make the Tan Tien easy to handle for freestyle, freeride, and commuting. Responsive Ride — Vertically laminated bamboo and fiberglass construction pair with a cambered profile for a lively and engaging ride. Versatile Variations — Available in three flex ratings to tailor the ride to your weight and style. • Its a wonderful board w/ quality trucks and wheels
I love this board! I was just sliding with it on the wet gravel. It slides beautifully and has less flex than i expected. This is a good thing I love the board and I can't wait to ride it more. In addition to my Sector 9 Sprocket this makes a beautiful addition to my longboard collection. Be sure to note that this board tends to get unstable at high speeds, however what longboards don't... I love my Paris Trucks they are my favorite trucks I've ever had by far until now. Once you get your longboard stance and positioning set and get used to your Tan Tien (or any longboard), it is wonderful for free style riding style, transportation, even downhill if you can slide well. (It's good for everything but I wouldn't suggest this as a primary downhill board) Note: It's expensive, but it's worth the investment and extremely high quality and durable! Now for the pros & cons. Pros: Well rounded longboard Light weight Extremely responsive Allows sliding with ease (once you learn how) Has an epic graph design & grip tape design Idea length for most long boarders Cons: Expensive Extremely responsive and flexy (this can be good and bad depending on the person) Comes w/ Orange 80a Otang Stimulus :D of course i've heard the 86a (yellow stimulus) wheels are better for sliding (softer wheels) so i would go with those if given another chance. Paris trucks very responsive. (39 inch board) the board is very nice and has some nice concave. ... show more

  • Awesome board. Flex 1 doesn't flex very much
Awesome board. Flex 1 doesn't flex very much, I weigh 220 and the board just has a nice bounce to it but nothing radical like you see on YouTube reviews, the board barely flexes below it being completely flat. I wouldn't call it a high speed board more for carving etc. Kick tails are use able, board is super light and easy to kick around. I tried it on caliber ii and Paris v2 both 50 degree both about 10", sector 9 72mm wheels, bones super reds, zero wheel bite but the Paris trucks get real close. I prefer the caliber setup but I'm a noob so I'm partial to more stable feeling trucks. Great board looks fantastic in person, would make a great first board to develop skills on. ... show more

Loaded boards are great as always. Came in just fine and complete. Light weight, flexible, great pattern below, and great ensemble of trucks, wheels, bearings and board. Get it whenever it’s in stock, had to wait around for a week or so to buy one since they were out of stock.

  • Great Cruising Set-Up
Color: Orangatang Stimulus 70mm/80a Wheels Size: Flex 2 (130-210+ lbs / 59-95+ kg)
Smooth, fast, springy. The deck and components are high quality and well designed. Great for cruising as it absorbs vibration and retains speed. Much different feel than a street style skateboard.

  • The Loaded Tan Tien Flex 2
I had been searching for months for a longboard before I decided to finally buy one. What I needed was a longboard to arrive in a short amount of time, because I was going on vacation. Other prerequisites were to a nice cruiser, and just a generally good overall starter board. What better board than the Loaded Tan Tien? Loaded boards are renowned in the industry for their board making, and I am not disappointed! Performance Longboarding is a great company in my eyes. Their customer service is fantastic. I emailed them the night I saw this post asking them a few questions about how they assemble their boards and also about their shipping methods. They replied within hours of the same night answering all of my questions! Enough said. Now for the review of the ACTUAL board, and before that I just want to say that the Loaded Tan Tien Flex-2 complete longboard is AMAZING: • Loaded has three flex's for their Tan Tien variant. Flex 2 is for people who weigh 130 lb's - 210 lb's. I weigh ~140 pounds, and the flex and maneuverability of this board is crazy.. • Comparing this board to my friends' boards is like comparing a Porche to a Pontiac. Now, it's not going to fly like a magic carpet, but it's all about the FEEL. It glides over concrete, takes on sand (I'm not saying longboard on a beach), destroys pebbles, rocks, and small debris with ease (try and avoid them still obviously). • My feet fit naturally in the concave of the boards shape. • Can't go wrong with Orangatang wheels, especially on a top end board like this. • The trucks that it comes with is great for what the board wants to accomplish: perfect cruising. • Lastly, the assembly of this board is what puts the icing on the cake. Performance Longboards personally takes the time to professionally assemble the board in their shop before it's sent out, and it's fantastic! With all of that being said, that is why I spent the $10 - $15 dollars over the other Tan Tien's offered on Amazon. ... show more

  • Ideal board
I've wanted a Tan Tien for a long time, and when mine arrived (a couple days before I expected it) I didn't hesitate to try it out. After some minor adjustments I was good to go. So. This board feels amazing. I'm not the best longboarder around, but even I found the Tan Tien very stable and easy to control, even at higher speeds. The grip tape is a great asset to the board as well. Flex 2 is a great flex even though I'm pretty close to the suggested weight limit. Overall I'm really happy with this board - I've been going around my campus which has really smooth roads and gentle hills and it's an awesome experience. ... show more
