The spirals and plugs are not true to size.If I can find true to size ones I much prefer spiral tapers to traditional, as the size change is more gradual. The regular tapers are fine, but if you want normal tapers there are better ones out there. I wouldn’t recommend acrylic for long term wear either, as it’s not a good sterile material. I would recommend instead surgical steel. Though it tells you they are acrylic, so if that’s what you are looking for, go for it. Even the smaller sizes in this set are durable enough and done easily break. I can sleep with just about anything in my ears and these are no exception, comfortable enough. ... show more

Perfect for me to start double-stretching my ears! No issues with the material, and it's in my favorite color. :) I found using the spirals first made it easier as their size up was more gradual than the tapers.

The set came in a little zippered case which was super convenient for storing them. All the gauges came in their own little plastic bags and there's a mesh pocket on one side of the case to hold the smaller gauges. Size 0 - 00 bags fit on the other side. Really good quality gauges. The color for these is just as vibrant as it is in the pictures. Love it! I've had no issues with them so far, up to a 10g now. No seams on them to cause irritation like you see on some cheaper acrylic ones. Just pop 'em out and clean them with a little antibacterial soap and everything is good.

Full disclosure I know I’m not supposed to stretch my ears with acrylic but, oh well I’m doing it anyway. I won’t lie, I use the buffalo tapers more then the straights or the plugs but I haven’t had any issues. Make sure you’re massaging your lobes with vitamin e oil or jojoba before stretching and a couple times a week and you clean with Ear cleaning saline. Don’t stretch back to back and don’t skip sizes. I didn’t wait long enough between my 0&00 and had the worst blow out, the infection was so bad my lobes closed so I get to start again. Luckily I was able to size up from a 14-8 rather quickly but now it’s the slow road for me. ... show more

I was really nervous after ordering these because I read many reviews of the paint chipping off, or the pieces coming not true to size. Thankfully, this wasn’t the case with me. I’ve stretched my ears many times, and have many other sets and pieces to compare with - my set definitely came true to size. I’m really in love with the color and I’m happy that this kit includes spirals specifically to stretch with. The only downside is the acrylic is noticeably cheap, even compared to other acrylic sets I have - however this really didn’t deter me. I’d just recommend keeping your ears extra clean and using jojoba oil or something similar when changing out the jewelry and you should be fine. Overall I’d recommend this set and will most likely order another set in a different color. ... show more

Exactly what I wanted! I lost my 6g jewelry and tbh I didn't want to tape to 4g from 8g tunnels. My ears are a bit sore from insertion(done with the help of vitamin E oil!) but when you've been wearing the wrong size it's to be expected. The case the jewelry comes in is a plus because it makes it easy to keep track of everything. ... show more
