I love it! Paired with the thermal camera this thing is awesome. The KL340 is a small package, you can fit the mavic 3 with the light mounted inside the hard carry case without any trouble. The spotlight is powerful, i find it works best around the 150-200ft altitude. The adjustable brightness is a little fiddly to adjust on your controller screen but its functional. The red/blue flashers are visible but they dont have the spotlight focus that the white light does. You may notice there is a slight horizontal alignment issue in the video, i think this is due to strong winds since the camera has a bit of horizontal gimbal and the spotlights do not. You will also need to fine tune the vertical alignment in windy conditions too as the drone is going to sit at an angle to fight the wind. It was very easy to setup and learn to use, the controls are integrated into your RC Pro. I didnt notice much (if any) impact to flight time but im sure it will drain your flight battery a little quicker than a bare drone due to the extra weight and energy consumption by the LEDs. Overall im very happy with the LK340, its an excellent balance of value for functionality. ... show more

Doesn’t always connect straight away and half the time it doesn’t follow the gimbal take a very specific set up to work perfectly. (Sometime you have to power on the drone first before connecting it to the drone. Light also doesn’t always follow the gimbal perfectly. But it’s pretty bright. Enough so that from a. Few hundred feet up I can see pretty well, (not like daylight but pretty close) ... show more

Light is fairly bright, however the field of view is extremely narrow. Easy to install and use. The two lights do not align perfectly horizontally or vertically and this can not be adjusted (the circles of light never merge completely into one circle). Also be aware that the light will rotate down to approximate the movement of the gimbal down, however it will not rotate beyond 90 degrees horizontal up and will not follow the gimbal up past 90 degrees. Functional light, just not quite worth the expense. If you can afford to buy a better light than this one, would likely be worth the extra cost. ... show more

It's incredibly bright. I've use it for night hunting pigs with my Mavic 3T. It's saved me allot of time sitting in stands and wondering fields & feeders. Now go directly to the pigs or just stay in the house if there not there But, trouble in pig land.... It worked very reliably for the first 20-30 applications but slowly it started having more and more trouble connecting. It would power cycle but the controls are not present on the remote. Now it doesn't ever connect. I've upgraded all of the firmware and no luck. If i can figure out how to get support and it gets addressed I may change this rating but for the moment, it's just occupying the really cool custom foam cut out in the drone box. ... show more

Installation takes just one minute since all you have to do is open the door to the data port, plug the lighting unit into it, and then secure it down with a pair of thumb screws. It already works natively with the Pilot 2 app, so the most setup you'll probably need to do is to map a button to toggling the light on and off. Controlling it is effectively automatic since the direction of the spotlight follows the direction of the camera gimbal. That is limited to the 90-degree field between pointing straight down to straight forward, which is a little disappointing if you're trying to get light onto something above the drone, like the underside of a bridge, but the angle of the light gives you a few more degrees of visibility, and anything beyond that would have to be lit from the ground. The spotlight is pretty compact and lightweight at 105g, so while it obviously decreases flight time due to the extra weight and sharing a bit of power to the spotlights, it's not a particularly significant loss. As far as I can tell, it seems to have more light output than DJI AL1, which is already very bright. But if we're making comparisons, it's notable that the AL1 has a pass-through port on top to allow an additional accessory to be mounted above it, whereas this LKTOP unit doesn't. This doesn't bother me, but if you need to mount something else like a speaker, that's not an option with the KL340. I don't have any need for red/blue strobes, but as another reviewer noted, they're certainly not as bright or focused. Overall, the DJI AL1 might offer slightly more features, but I don't really find any of them to be important for my needs. And seeing as the LKTOP KL340 is priced a $90 less (20% less), I think this is the better value by a fairly wide margin. ... show more
