I have horses and goats, and have for many years. This comes with four bolts and nuts, and also comes with some long cross-tip screws and anchors. Not sure what the anchors are for? In any case, I used the screws to mount one of these to a wooden post in my goat pen. As soon as they stopped trying to eat it (the brush was unscathed), they realized how good it felt to rub the nubs of their horns on. Because it's plastic, I have no concerns about it being out in the weather. The bristles are long and stiff, and the individual bristles are very thick and sturdy, so even as the goats really push against it, the bristles didn't collapse. That worked wonderfully. My goats are nigerian dwarf, so the size is perfect for them to rub their bodies or just their heads. Given the size and anticipated length of use (and the kit comes with two), I think this is a decent value. This did not impact my review: I know the description says for horses, but I think this is far too stiff for a horse's delicate skin. I asked the opinion of a local equine professional, and she agreed. The bristles are too much, and a horse could easily injure themselves, by either rubbing too much or possibly if they banged into it with their face.
