My fluffy shih poo's fur had some terrible mats. I was having to cut some large knots out while brushing him. I hated it and he hated me pulling on the knots. This stuff solved that problem! His coat is smooth and soft. It doesn't take much either.

We have a Miniature Australian Shepherd that constantly has issues with her hair matting badly below her rear end and down the back of her legs. Hand-separating and brushing them out has been a painful experience for her and she would run at the sight of a brush. Despite the great reviews, I put off purchasing this product due to price, but finally pulled the trigger. We received the 4oz tube of gel this afternoon and all I can say is WOW! I applied a few drops to each mat, barely massaged it in for a couple of seconds, waited a minute and began brushing. The degree of resistance was virtually non-existent. I'm honestly like: "W-H-A-A-A-A-T????"! The brush went through her mats like a hot knife through butter on the very first pass. It helped with tangles but was greasy...similar to other such products Inhavebysed.

Brushing out my dog when he is developing some mats is never fun; this product made it so much easier and so much faster. I was able to detangle the mat and pull out minimal fur. I will definitely continue to use this on my Bernedoodle!

    • Old packaging is better or I have a defective product.
This is the first time I am using this product, so I don’t know if this is a product quality issue or a packaging design flaw. IMHO you need to go back to the bottle with the pull top. The product just runs out like a goopy mess with the new lid. It was definitely unused as I had to remove the seal from the container; which it immediately started running everywhere. ... show more

    • Best Detangler there is!
So much better than the spray in stuff. This works quickly and has made grooming so much more enjoyable. I used to not fuss with my horses mane/tail as he isnt a show horse. Now with this I can quickly work this in and he detangles without any effort. Must have in the tack box.

    • FINALLY no more dreadlocks on hubby's “angel haired” palomino.
This REALLY works. Hubby’s palomino has almost curly hair, the least bit of twig, wind, rain, & time causes it to dreadlock. It was a daily chore to keep it combed out, until I tried ShowSheen detangler. We have always used the Show Sheen spray, but, the detangler stays on the hair without attracting dirt and keeps her hair soft and so tangle free that I can finger comb it.
