After reading through the mixed reviews, I decided I had little to lose and bought a “new condition” used version of this table. The box looked like it fell off the truck, but the table itself was fine and all pieces were included. The color is as seen in the pictures, and it is fairly heavy and very sturdy. Some reviewers say that this is difficult to assemble: it is not, and the instructions are very easy to read. But it IS a bit time consuming (step one begins with you attaching 52 screws, so consider that in your purchase). Despite it saying that it requires two people, I (a 45yo woman) managed to get it together by myself in about an hour and twenty minutes. Some of the reviews note that it is engineered wood (particle board), and that’s absolutely true, although it’s quite nice in quality. It’s hard for me to believe that anyone would think they could order a table of this size made of solid wood for under $200, and this is not that, but it is of very nice quality for the money spent, and I believe it will last.     • If you don’t consider PDF wood “high quality”, keep hunting.

OK, here’s what you need to know about buying this table, if you’re looking for something that is authentic, real and rustic or like that, this is not it. This thing is made out of PDF material so the wood is cheap and if it gets wet a little bit. I don’t think it will be waterproof for long. Putting it together, well if you can read instructions and got a few hours or longer, you’re good to go, if you get frustrated easily you don’t want to put this together. I should’ve returned it, but I didn’t. It’s not really what I was wanting. I wanted a real wood or a more life like material, not an engineered wood that is PDF or any other fake wood that’s not life like. Over all it is sturdy if you put it together correctly and it does look visually nice from a distance, but it’s still PDF wood. You know, kind of like a box with wallpaper on it instead of being painted or real wood. Maybe they should put that in the description somewhere or in the specifications, because it’s PDF wood. At the end of the day, nobody considers PDF to be a “high-quality wood “only the manufacturers of this product do. . ... show more

Love this table it’s amazing. It’s very heavy and sturdy. I would’ve given it five stars if it weren’t for the fact that the top panels one was shiny and one wasn’t. I tried to straighten this out with customer service, but was very unsuccessful with that.
