I bought this for my 3 year old for Christmas and it has been an absolute hit with her! The toy is just so cute and clever and provides hours of imaginative play. The quality of the store is superb and the technology is great. It has a working conveyor belt and my little one loves it! The shopping bag that it includes hooks to the bottom of he conveyor belt and the food items go directly into it after being scanned. It came with several unique grocery items, ranging from fruits to candies to croissants! Each item has a little barcode on it. The child places the item on to the scanner and then places it on the conveyor belt to go into the shopping bag. The store itself has a cute fridge for the "cold" items, a display case for the candies and chips, a hammock for the fruit or bread, and shelves for the other items. It also has a place for you to place your iPad and it allows the iPad to serve as a touchscreen cash register. The app is user friendly and my toddler loves using it. It has a little register for the child to stick the credit card and money in to in order to pay for the items( it comes with a credit card and several plastic dollar bills and coins). There are other items sold separately that you can purchase to add on to this, but I found that it came with more than enough to entertain my little one.     • Cashier needs training, bagger should be fired but the register was great!
The store itself isn’t very customer friendly. They don’t have any bags for purchase and the cashier isn’t very friendly. The bagger was throwing my items across the room and the cashier had no regard for my perishable items. She was slamming them into the belt and the bagger would toss them back onto the shelf. I don’t think I ever received anything I purchased. They also put my credit card down the money dispenser so maintenance had to come assist in retrieving my card. That was a hassle! The workers threw a fit as if it were MY fault. I’m not sure who hired them but management needs to train them better. They are very young, appeared maybe 2 and 3 so they need to learn how to work with the public better. I’ll likely continue shopping at the local chain store vs this small town shop. As far as the register, I do wish the belt ran longer. My son gets frustrated when he scans a product and then it shuts off before it makes it to the bag. If there were an option to turn it on and leave it on, that would be fantastic! The quality is very good and the products scan and tell you what they are. There’s plenty of storage for the items that came with it. It would have been great if the screen was working and they could push items on that. Kids love buttons! The belt also folds up to assemble so I wish they would have made that an option for storage options. Once it’s built you can’t put it down. It would have been half the size and easy to put away if they would have thought about that. Otherwise, it is a great product! ... show more

We will be giving this to our grand daughter for her upcoming 3rd birthday. She has a small checkout that she loves to play store with but this has many more fun features. We put this together for her so that she will be able to start having fun with it right away. She is going to love how it says the food name as it is placed over the counter. Belts works great and it scans the food, I wish the screen screen was interactive a bit more as the kids dont want an app running while their in the room. All in all, its cool that it says the food when scanned and entertains the 6 and 3 year old, so thats a win for us

My 5years old nice love her birthday gift!! She played all day long and the best part is the app that kept her attention and she was able to play by herself. Now I want to buy the other smart kit from little tikes.

    • Coveyor Belt Broken
AMENDED REVIEW- Upgrading my review to 4 stars because we think we’ve solved the conveyor belt issue. The tall part of the toy rotates to allow the toy to fold for storage. We folded it up to move it and when we unfolded it we believe that we more fully rotated the tall “checkout display” piece. When we did that, the conveyor began to work properly. When we rotated it less fully, the conveyor stopped working reliably. So we believe that turning the checkout display fully may be the key to the electronics working properly. I’m not giving this toy 5 stars because that fix was really annoying to figure out and there was absolutely no trouble shooting help from Little Tikes on this- hopefully just because the toy is so new to market. Anyway- now that it works properly my kids (and even their older cousins) are really enjoying the toy! With or without the iPad app in use- they seem to love playing grocery store. I hope this helps! I’m leaving my original review below I’m case someone else has the same initial issue. ORIGINAL REVIEW- Just put this together for Christmas for our son and the conveyor belt doesn’t work! SO disappointed since that was a major reason for choosing this item.     • Cute toy worried about the Conveyor Belt
From reading the reviews I was hesitant on purchasing it but when it was on sale we decided to get it for our two year old. Thankfully everything works; the light, the belt, credit card scanner and the grocery scanner. The conveyor belt seems like it might stop working because it feels cheaply made but our two year old loves it so far. If that goes out I don’t know how he’ll feel about the toy. The thing he likes the most about the toy is that feature. All the food feels thick and well made. The only thing I don’t like is when he puts the dollars in the slot they just shoot back out onto the floor, I wish it had something for them to fall into like the coins do. Besides that I think it’s a cute toy that my little one has a lot of fun with. ... show more
