The bright colors are fun for young children and the small pegs help improve their manual dexterity. My granddaughter loves making pretty pictures just by poking these pegs through the paper patterns.

Wish there were more pegs available by single order. Some of the original colors were not included in the new package. I am giving the entire set to another family whose children are a bit older and will like it more. My grandson is not able to focus as needed for this game. My daughter has been really into her lite bright lately but in the process has lost some of the legs and used most of the templates. This was the perfect solution and the templates in this were really cute. Her favorites are the cat and dog.

These are exactly the same pegs you'd get with a Lite Brite, so they're compatible with the boards. I don't understand why they're so expensive when you could buy a whole new Lite Brite for a little bit more. I would definitely prefer an option without the rolled-up templates in the package, it seems wasteful to throw them out but they just never flatten out after being rolled up so tight. If you bought a Litebrite I highly recommend getting this set. Kids go through the design papers in a flash so always good to have more at hand. Additional little pegs are always helpful too!!
