  • Customer Service from Manufacturer was excellent
Size: 4 Inch x 160 Roll
I had ordered one too many and since I had missed the 30 day window, Amazon would not let me return the product. Talked to the manufacturer and they responded quickly and were very nice about the problem. They gave me a refund minus 20% restocking fee which I totally understood. Great company to work with! ... show more

  • Rubber membrane for foundation walls
I had read online that conventional tar based foundation wall treatments only last around 7 years before they start to break down and allow water to penetrate. Liquid Rubber seems to offer a much more effective water barrier, creating a solid membrane on top of the foundation wall surface, thus preventing water from seeping into the block. I found the product easy to apply, using a brush for the first coat to get into the porous surface of both old and new concrete block. I applied the second and third coats with a 3/4" nap roller and this was much quicker. (Two 5 gallon buckets covered approximately 475 sq ft. with three coats over most areas, 4 along the footer.) I also purchased a roll of the Liquid Rubber Geo Textile fabric to use on the seam between the footer and the wall. While it was messy to get it into place and cover it, I found it gapped quite a bit because of the not so perfect surfaces upon which I was applying it (the footer was not smooth, making it an uneven surface to try to install the strip of fabric.) Even the vertical joints in the concrete block caused the fabric to gap. I tried to add additional coats on top of the fabric, but it really didn't adhere as well as I would have hoped. I ended up using the Geo Textile for only about 5' of wall, so that was a $ 65 purchase that was wasted. At the end of the day, I just did about 4 coats of the Liquid Rubber on that seam and am pleased that it will seal it up well. There was one other item that was frustrating with this product. Because I was repairing a foundation wall that had a history of seeping water, the block wall and footer were both well saturated. And some areas had block that was starting to crumble/turning to sand. I let it air dry for about a week, then used a propane roofing torch to dry it up further before applying the Liquid Rubber. And I wire brushed away all of the loose sand to make sure I would apply the product to a solid surface. For the most part, that seemed to dry it up well enough to form a good bond even on what had been a loose surface. However, in some of those areas, I noticed that the final membrane was pulling away from the wall. I used a utility knife to cut out the bubbles and reapply new product. If it ever 'fails' I am sure it will be at one of those areas. Otherwise, the stuff was messy but not as bad as a tar product would have been. And it was fairly easy to wash up, although I just threw my work clothes away. I would recommend this over a tar product any day, but with the caveat that you have solid, dry surfaces to adhere it to. And skip the Geo Textile if your surfaces are not perfectly smooth....just use extra Liquid Rubber to cover that transition. ... show more

  • Great Stuff
Size: 4 Inch x 160 Roll
Liquid Rubber is the bomb! I swear you could take a firehose to my basement walls and they still wouldn't leak. I do use the Geotextile tape for cracks in the wall and along the space where the floor and the wall meet. I also put one roller length of Liquid Rubber on the floor next to the wall. I also use the Liquid Rubber primer which, in my case is necessary. My basement walls are like those old popcorn ceilings. I have to scrape off what I can, put the primer on then 2-3 coats of Liquid Rubber. Zero water in the 3 years I've used it. We recently had a freak flash flood storm come in from the northeast and little streams came in on an untreated wall. That wall has now been Liquid Rubberized and it WILL keep the water out. ... show more

  • Pointless without the sealing product
Size: 4 Inch x 160 Roll
This is part of a 3 stage until/product if you are not using the slealer you don't need this product. The way it works you put down the slealer first, and while it is still wet, you put the tape on the seal and then more slealer over the tape, but it works amazing for making water tight corners and to bridge up to a1/2" Gaps then you paint over it all with the rubber coloring product. ... show more

  • Works fine, not a great value
The product itself works as described, just follow the instructions. The issue is that it is a poor value for the price. I bought another roll that functioned as well at a large chain retail store at about 4X the value. Having used both, there are slight differences depending on the application, but no difference in function. ... show more
