Liquid Moly's ATF Additive has been formulated to ensure that rubber and plastic seals in power-steering systems and transmissions receive optimal care. Leaks in the gearbox caused by hardened or brittle seals are prevented or remedied by using Liquid Moly's ATF Additive. THIS WORKS!! My 8L90 with the shuttering torque converter comes back. I flushed and replaced trans filter. Topped off with the Mobile 1 blue label ATF with the Liquid Molly and fingers crossed it runs great at 81k Miles. Recommend changing or flushing then add Molly with new ATF.

    • Fixed the shudder in my 2008 Mercedes ML350!
My ML350 is now 11+ years old and had developed a transmission "shudder". If I was going up a hill at local town speeds (35-45mph), it would make this shuddering vibration instead of downshifting. I could almost predict where and when it would happen. The first thing I did was do a fluid and filter change. Now I love Mercedes, but they marketed the 722.9 transmission as "filled for life" which is a crock of BS. When I drained the fluid, it was BLACK. Not good. I replaced the filter and stand pipe and, using the air compressor method pumped in about 5 liters of new fluid. Because my model doesn't have a drain plug on the toque converter, you cant get it all out unless you do a rather complicated flush. I figured, I'd do this change, then do another in a few thousand miles. It seemed to be smoother after doing all this (could be my imagination), but the shudder remained. Well, that fluid change in a few thousand miles turned into 2 1/2 years (best laid plans, etc!). All this time, that annoying shudder was there. So, a few weeks ago I finally drained and replaced another 5 liters of fluid (just a little brown this time), and I added the entire tube of LiquiMoly ATF. After driving for a day or two, the shudder is completely gone and she shifts like butter! Like the day it was driven off the lot! Now I realize this is anecdotal evidence. It could have been that the second 5 liter fluid change lightened up the fluid enough that it cleaned itself out or something, but I am chalking it up to the LiquiMoly. It was too dramatic a change for just changing half the fluid. Your mileage may vary, but I am sold. It gave my transmission new life! ... show more

Used for my 2007 Mercedes e350 4 matic 722.6 that was having downshifting issues at low speed/RPM. Used with LIQUI moly atf 1600. 48 hours and around 50 miles in and I have a huge difference. Reviews say see difference in transmission between 100-300 miles. So hopefully I see even more improvement. Great product! ... show more

    • Fixed 2008 Volvo XC70 6-speed AWTF-80 SC hard shift between 2nd and 3rd gear
I usually do not write reviews, but this thing really is "magic in the bottle" and seems to have prevented a very expensive transmission replacement repair... I have a this unfortunate 6speed automatic transmission in my 2008 Volvo XC70. I bought the car used with 130k miles and the transmission was shifting hard, mostly between the 2nd and 3rd gear. After much internet searching, I decided to do replace the transmission fluid using the YouTube method of partially diluting the old fluid one gallon at a time. I also added the Lucas additive. The shifting did improve somewhat but the car would still have a hard shift from 2nd to 3rd a few times every time we drove it. Fast forward 50k miles (now at 180k miles) and the VIDA diagnostic software started noticing the hard shift and logged 4-5 error codes about shudder and hard shifting. Car was still drivable, but I thought maybe I will try to improve on things and did the same transmission fluid replacement (one gallon at a time method, about 4 gallons replaced in total) and added this LiquiMoly additive. At first the shifting was unchanged. And then after about 500 miles, the hard shifting went away. Completely. Transmission shifts as smooth as a new car... So, I can say this is amazing stuff. Seems to free up or lubricate that sticky valve in the valve body that causes the hard shift.... ... show more
