What a beautiful brown! My favorite shades are hot chocolate (pictured) and Shameless. Both beautiful for muted-warm olive skin tones. Like all bullet lipsticks, this is not super long lasting and you'll have to reapply, but for a bullet lipstick the longevity is good. I've tried just about all drugstore bullet lipsticks. Hands down this is the best one, especially for a matte. The Maybelline ones are a nice formula with a wide shade range but I can't stand the waxy cosmetic smell and taste. The Milani Color Statement has beautiful brown-red shades and the formula is long lasting but can tug on the lips if they're not well prepped. NYX Suede Matte is a very nice formula as well just not as creamy and easy to glide as this one and can also be a little tuggy if you have very dry patches. The L'Oréal ones I just can't stand the floral smell, which is disappointing because their shades are beautiful. The Milani Color Fetish Mattes are probably a close second favorite to this Revlon one but they only have 5 nude shades - wish they made more. I just wish Revlon made more rosey-brown reds (like NYX exotic), muted terracota browns, and more muted brick red shades. Please make more shades! If they expand their shade range I think most of my bullet lipsticks would be from this line. Y'all are sleeping on Revlon bullet lipsticks! I choose these over my MAC or other more expensive lipsticks any day, especially for the price. I've heard people say these are dupes formula-wise for the Lisa Eldridge velvet matte lipsticks but I don't have one to compare. The only thing I will say is Revlon needs to work on making the pictures more true to color as they're way off. Probably would help to have arm swatches. ... show more

Picture is deceiving it’s not pink it’s actually brown-ish when you see it in person. I’m updating my review to a positive one even though the color is misguided as the quality of this lipstick it’s actually great! It’s smooth, silky and it stays put for a few hours. I would buy more shades.

The color was a beautiful deep red but the application to the lips was very dry and appeared patchy. There was nothing emollient about this lipstick. The point of the lipstick was broken off and the lipstick itself had become dislodged from the base.
