Bought this for my new job and i adore this mug and got so many compliments!! however it doesnt hold a true cup of coffee - like 1/2 cup of normal size cup. but it is cute and a talking point!

I don't drink a lot of coffee anymore. I tend to drink more tea. I saw this cup and saucer and fell in love with it. My intention was to get it for tea, but then I discovered something about it. HOW THIS ARRIVES I have to say that I was shocked that they just sent this to me as it was and slapped a label on it. I thought for sure it would be broken as the box was crunched. However, the cup and saucer were carefully enclosed in bubble wrap in the box with cardboard dividing them and they arrived unharmed. SIZE This is definitely the capacity it claims- around 10 oz. The plate is plenty big enough to put snacks or small biscuits or other things with the cup next to them or to use as a complete lunch plate if desired. THICKNESS AND WEIGHT These are poured pieces of porcelain (white) clay. They are pretty thick and have more weight than you would get from bone china pieces but not as heavy as some hand thrown pottery pieces I have. HANDLE The handle is more on a par with bone china fine teaware. They are small and can be tricky for those who have larger or beefy fingers. I didn't find it too difficult to work with, however. RIM That is where I thought this was going to be a problem. There is a pretty large rim on this cup which means that the liquid does not just slide into the mouth. It has to go up over the lip. At first I thought that was weird. Then I had to test out some creamer, and it was not mixing well. I pulled out the hand mixer that foams up milk and to my delight, the cup held the liquid in with no problem (it was about half full) so I got an excellent foam on top and it mixed beautifully. I added more coffee after it was blended. WHAT IS BEST IN THIS CUP Although this is great for tea, coffee, broth, and even a small yogurt or soup, what this really excels in is use for foamy coffee or london fog tea. I find that making London Fog tea, I just put the tea in halfway, blend in the milk to a foam and pour the rest of the tea over top. The results are wonderful. THE BOTTOM LINE This is a really cheerful set. I find that it really excels in making coffee with milk and foam or London Fog tea to a foamy top using a hand foaming stick. MY RATING I love this set and plan on getting more in the future. On a day when I am discouraged, I will bring this out as it made me really happy using it. It cleans up well too. NO WRITING There is nothing on this set to indicate the company or where it is from.

This mug looks deformed because it's supposed to. That's one of the reasons why I liked it so much, plus I like clouds and pictures of the sky. The mug and saucer sit flat so they won't wobble or tip. The bottoms are perfectly flat, only the rest of it is oddly shaped. It is microwave and dishwasher safe according to the description but the mug and saucer don't say it on the bottom. I thoroughly tested that though and haven't had any issues. The mug doesn't get too hot either. You might think it's hard to drink out of something like this but it isn't at all. The only reason it got four stars instead of five was because the handle is small. I have very thin fingers even compared to women and it is still a bit small. It isn't a big problem though, it just takes some getting used to.
