I got this foam for my first attempt at making a fursuit, and so far it seems to be working well for the purpose! It was easy to cut into shapes, and simple enough to put together with hot glue (and thread to smooth out connections). I still need to cover it in felt for the final design, but this was a great base to use! I will say that since I made the head, the foam has changed from white to a kind of pale yellow color, but I think that may just be a general thing that happens over time. I also used some of the leftover padding for my portable AC, since it needed a strip of padding to stay in the window, and that's been working wonders. I was originally worried about mold/bugs since it was in the window, but it's been there a few months now and seems good! Overall, I think this is pretty good and well worth the price ... show more

    • Excellent way to add height to the deck of a couch! Stays firm too
This is my second purchase, both are the high density option. One is 4" and the other is 2" I put it on the deck and then the original cushions on top of it. The 24" x 72" fit both my couches perfectly but you can cut this easily with a bread knife if needed. Extremely nice quality product--no smell, expands from the compression bag in less than a minute. Very firm but under the original cushions or by itself, very supportive and comfortable. If you have trouble getting up off older, lower couches, or couches with original cushions that are breaking down, I recommend this stuff highly. One thing to note: raising the deck will alter the relationship of deck to back of couch. You may find you need some small cushions to tuck behind your back for support, to make up for the back now being lower relative to the deck. ... show more

Exactly what I needed, I couldn't find the thinner (1 inch) chair mats, so I ordered this roll out foam and cut to size for each chair, turned out great! It wasn't as long as expected (under 72") but, turned out to be just enough for 5 chairs- worked out great!

I purchased this foam to make a cushion for our yard swing and it works great! The foam is only two inches thick, but it's very dense and I don't feel my bum touch the wood, I just feel cushy! This foam was easy to cut; I used a box cutter to cut through the first inch or so of the thickness, and then I used fabric scissors to finish the cut. When it arrived I thought I got a square sized foam and when I tried to flatten it I also thought I got eva foam but when I cut it open I was surprised with its rising and expanding. The size I got introduced with was a perfect amount that I needed. Although I'm waiting for it to expand the quality was very good when I took a small chunk of it and ran it through water to see it's actual thickness. It's very comfy and overall worth the discounted price I got it for. I'll be using it for cosplay and furniture accessories very soon and I'm exited.     • When they say firm, they mean FIRM
I have a rotten cat with a clawing problem, so I'd rather not have to buy new furniture if I can avoid it, but my sofa is thoroughly worn out. I bought this foam to replace the cushions and if I can fix the cat scratches, I've probably gotten another 10 years out of my sofa now. I got the extra firm rating, in size 72 x 24 x 5. First, be prepared to buy extra supplies if you're reupholstering cushions. I suppose you could do without them, but I had to get batting and spray adhesive in order to redo my cushions. For the batting, I picked up whatever was cheapest at Joann Fabrics, and for spray adhesive, I used 3M Super 77 Multipurpose. The foam seemed to bond well with the adhesive and batting. Second, the instructions say you can cut this with a bread knife. Well, you can, but you'll want to put down some plastic or other material to catch the stray bits of foam because my living room looked like an indoor snow storm and the little stray pieces are insidious. They tracked/carried everywhere. I cut this a week ago and I'm still picking foam off the dog's fur. I think the trick is to cut with longer strokes rather than a sawing motion, but I didn't figure this out until near the end when I had to re-trim both cushions. It's so firm that I had to trim the pieces smaller than the older cushions to get them back in the covers. Now, other details -- It comes in a long, square box, vacuum packed and it takes a couple of days to inflate to full size. If you're concerned about smell, I'm sensitive to odors and there wasn't any noticeable smell to me, or it dissipated in the days I let it inflate so that was a plus. Now that the cushions are done, they sit well. It's definitely firm. I'm very overweight and it still feels incredibly solid to me. I'm actually wishing maybe I had gone down a level on firmness, but I suspect it will wear over time. The "snow" is my only complaint, and the product listing is definitely true to it's word. ... show more
