I have a lovely guidebook that has a perfect binding style. This means it is simply glued together at the spine of the book versus being stitch. This creates a great and modern look but takes away from the reader's ability to open the book very far. If you do, you run the risk of breaking the binding eventually. Cue the Lineco adhesive. Thanks to the design of bottle, I was able to get the glue precisely where it needed to be with little mess. What mess there was, I was able to readily clean up after gluing. Highly recommend you get something to spread the glue such as a popsicle stick. It also needs extra time than listed on the bottle, hence the four stars. I bought this particular glue because it was highly recommended by a book repair pro on YouTube. I only needed it to repair the binding on my Bible and tip in a small section that had come out. Now it looks as if it was never damaged. The glue cleans well from the brushes if you rest them in a small amount of water while using on a project.     • Great glue, but new lids SUCK.

I've ordered this before and love the bottle and lid it came with the first time. However, this time they have changed the lid to a folded down top that gets super clogged EVERY time I use it (after it dries). This is even when closing the lid down immediately after using it. It gets clogged down in the hole and I have to use a needle to attempt to clean it out, but that still isn't easy to do (and I haven't been able to fully clean it out so far), so then I just have to unscrew the whole lid and pour it out the side. This is annoying to do personally, but more importantly I am a teacher and using this with my HS students and trying to make sure they don't over pour it is a step I shouldn't have to take or worry about with this glue (nor have the time to patrol). The lid that is in the product photo is MUCH better and they need to go back to those. The spout is plugged with plastic, wasn't molded properly, needs drilled out. I will rate the other characteristics at a later time after I get the adhesive out of the bottle .

I bought a book on amazon and the binding was so terrible. Papers were falling out and I decided I should rip a little of the binding off (1st picture) so then I decided to get this product. It feels like glue, and it didnโ€™t come clumpy or anything like that. I still didnโ€™t think it would do the trick, but I held it in place with the glue for a couple of minutes and then let it sit on its spine standing up, and i came back to it a little later. It did the trick. I bent the spines and the pages and played with it a lot and it feels like it wonโ€™t rip open anymore. Love love love ... show more
