Description

Limited Edition in RCBS Green This primer catcher and chute attaches through friction and several strong magnets on the back. This attachment is necessary for any serious reloader. It safely and cleanly catches all of your spent primers and drops them down and away from the press catching them at the bottom of the tube using a primer stop. Made out of high quality PLA Plastic. You can run it as is, attach it to a water bottle, or run it into a wastebasket. This small attachment makes depriming so much easier and cleaner. A MUST HAVE!!!

    • Does a great job at catching primers
This does what it was intended to do very well. That said I did notice a couple things. First, once installed there is a little technique required to catch the majority of primers. I have to give a little wiggle at the top of the up stroke to make sure the primer releases there. If not they fall out at the bottom of the stroke and then fall out under the catch on the next up stroke. Secondly, the front of my ram has a cut out in front, the primers liked to pop out there. Fixed by wedging a piece of popsicle stick in there up to the shell holder (no fault of this product). Lastly, my RCBS may be on the thicker side or this print was on the small side. On first install, one of the 4 locking arms cracked. It's still held tight by the other three, and the 4th did not break fully off. Once all these things were figured out, it catches about 95% of the primers. Occasionally one will sneak out. If this ever breaks, wears out, I'll buy another. ... show more

    • Almost Perfect, Almost!
It certainly does work better than the one that comes with the RCBS press. However there are problems, which make it a hassle to use as is. So far using it has failed to catch only one primer. However the magnets that come with it are so weak they are almost useless. The fix is to cut small slits close to the base and use a zip tie to secure it to the press. This has the unfortunate side affect of making it permanent, it is nice to be able to remove it during bullet seating. The other thing the tubing that came with the catch, is kinked and I can't get it out and it traps primers halfway up the tube limiting the capacity before having to empty it. But I guess that is a good thing because if you get too many primers in it, it gets too heavy for for the magnets to hold the catch on. Such a great upgrade, but I am super disappointed with the execution. Much better and bigger magnets could have been used. ... show more
