My favorite pillow cases. I’ve bought these at least 4-5 times over the years. My favorite feature is that it’s silk on one side but cotton on the other so it doesn’t slide around my bed all night!! Genius! Very soft and made a big difference for my skin and hair.

Very nice pillow cover and true to the color. Washes up well and is soft and great on the hair. Love the slip resistant bottom side which is a game changer for me. Now I get fabulous hair AND sleep not one or the other (I wake up easily if my pillows slip). My hair really is so much smoother now. Very excited these half and half pillow cover exist since not everyone love the slippery nature of silk on both sides. The cotton on the bottom side is THE BEST. I got some other half silk pillow covers from another shop and I loved those too, but I noticed cotton really is the BEST for preventing slipping. Soft silk, cotton side stays in place!

Arrived on time and nicely packaged. I immediately washed this item on the delicate cycle, in cold water and most important - placed in a lingerie wash bag for protection in the washing machine. These cases must be air dried so I placed it over the shower rod to dry. The silk side was not wrinkled but the cotton side was a bit wrinkled. I did not feel the need to iron it because I only sleep on the silk side. My pillow is a memory foam pillow designed to be slept on one side so the issue of the silk being on one side was no issue for me. In fact I love the intelligent design of having the cotton on the bottom because it keeps the pillow in place. I have to sleep on a wedge pillow (under my regular pillow) so had this been silk on both sides it would have been impossible to keep the pillow in place on the wedge. I am so happy someone thought to design a pillow cover this way. This pillow looks to be well constructed. The color Ivory that I purchased is very subtle and lighter that I expected but nice. The silk feels nice to sleep on. I gave this pillow cover 4 stars instead of 5 because unfortunately, I sleep hot on this pillow case. I was hoping it would be better temperature wise since the material is pretty thin and seems like it would be breathable. The smallest size offered is 20x30 and although it fits my standard pillow because it is longer it feels like it bunches up more that I would like. It would be better if they offered the 20x26 size. Because the silk side is so thin I'm not sure how this will hold up with repeated use and washings but only time will tell on that. I did also purchase a similar pillow cover from another brand in size 20x26 which fits my pillow better but I must say the silk on this 20x30 pillow is softer. ... show more

Since I started using this pillowcase I no longer have large pillow creases on my face when I wake up! I'm 49 and this is a relatively new problem for me. In the past, those pillow creases would go away pretty quickly and were not really a big deal to me. Now it takes hours for them to go away and I wonder if eventually they will become permanent. In addition my hair looks much better in the morning then it did using a regular pillowcase. I take my showers at night so this is a real blessing for me. I am actually getting compliments on my hair after having slept on it a whole night and having done nothing but brush it in the morning. Having one side of the pillow being cotton is brilliant because my pillow stays where it supposed to stay and doesn't slide all over the place like a 100% silk pillow does. My queen size pillow is on the large and it's usually hard to get the pillow into the pillowcase. There is no struggle to get my pillow into this pillowcase. Needless to say, I highly recommend this product and couldn't be happier with this purchase. Update - I washed it in the gentle cycle with cold water today. The tag said to hand wash it but I didn't think there would be a problem. I did take the label's advise and air dried it. The tag said to use a cool iron. I don't know what that means so I set my iron to silk and took a few minutes to iron the silk side. I didn't see a need to iron the cotton side since the pillow is always silk side up. Anyway, it was a success. The pillowcase looks like new. Good night. I have been relying on these reviews for my own purchase decisions for many years. I recently started posting reviews because I am disabled and have free time. I hope my reviews are helpful. I only post a review after I have used the product for an adequate amount of time to have a basis for an opinion and I update my reviews if my opinion changes. UPDATE: 9/29/2016 The Lilysilk people reached out to me to make sure I was satisfied with the product. All of my bedding (other than this pillow and a quilt at the foot of the bed) is white, and I'd actually been having some problems with color transfer. There are some hot pink splotches on my white quilt and I've also noticed that occasionally I'll get some hot pink staining on my skin. This is probably because I'm either sweating (or drooling, let's be real) at night or because Florida is painfully humid. Either way, I notified them of the issue and they immediately offered me options, reassurance (about the non-toxic nature of the dye), and a refund. I love the product and wanted to keep it, so they kindly offered to exchange my case for one in a lighter color that wouldn't lead to noticeable color transfer. I could not be more impressed by how kind, responsive, and pro-active they were in addressing my simple concern. I will definitely be buying pillowcases from them as gifts this christmas season--I'll just keep in mind my recipients' bedding colors as I choose. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I am recently on a mission to improve the quality of my hair and skin--your mid-30s hitting will do that, apparently. I carefully read reviews on silk pillowcases before I went for this one, and I learned some interesting things: 1. There's no such thing as a satin "fabric" -- satin is a finish. 2. There are apparently many different weights of silk (known as mommes) and they impact how heavy the silk is and thus how well suite it is to any particular use. 3. Many celebrities sleep on silk pillowcases! After reading the reviews of many options, I elected to go with the fuchsia pillowcase from Lilysilk. Some earlier reviewers mentioned that the products on their face or general face/hair oils could discolor the lighter ones and I didn't want to take that risk. The color is great; it's a bright, shiny pop of awesome pink on my bed. The texture is very smooth but not unpleasantly slick. The fabric stays cool at night and does not get warm. As advertised, only the top of the pillowcase is silk; the bottom is white cotton. This is nice for a couple of reasons. First, that I can easily just turn the pillow over during the day if I don't want the bright pink, but more importantly so that my foster kitty doesn't shed all over the silk while I'm at work. Second, that the grippier surface of the cotton holds to the sheet and doesn't let the pillow slide around while I'm sleeping. The pillow does zip closed, which is a nice touch I'd never thought to look for but will definitely keep in mind in the future. I have one of those memory foam neck pillows, so there's a bit of excess on the sides, but that hasn't been a problem at all. Now, does it work? I have to say I think it delivers on the quantifiable promises. I usually have to wash my hair daily because it gets so out of control and sweaty and oily after I sleep on it. With this pillow case, however, I've been able to go a solid 2.5 days--my hair is much more manageable when I wake up and I can brush it out and go without it looking like a disaster. Better than MYK or Blissy!

I was skeptical of this silk pillowcase being real silk at this price point, plus none of the pricer silk pillowcase brands have a two-sided option which made me even more skeptical... I had bought a silk pillowcase from Blissy for 3x as much as this one but the Blissy one kept slipping off the bed and showed drool/tear stains so easily (yuck) so I went back to my 100% cotton pillowcase...but I really wanted a silk pillowcase because of hair breakage problems I've been having, so when I saw this cotton under-sided version I decided to give it a try- sooo glad I did, I've been loving it! I wake up and my hair doesn't look like dried-out straw anymore, so I think it must be helping. I will say this LilySilk pillowcase (19 momme) is not as soft to the touch as the Blissy (22 momme) and I worried about that at first but it's been feeling perfectly fine on my face. I also saw reviews that said they thought the cotton side was scratchy but I didn't think so and I also sleep with my arm underneath the pillow. It is a bit stiffer, so maybe not the highest quality cotton, but it doesn't bother me and I'm usually bothered by cheap fabrics. Anyway, I saw on the LilySilk website that they do make a 22 momme version so I'm planning on buying that one eventually- It's just out of stock on Amazon right now haha... If you're on the fence about this pillowcase, I hope this review helped you make up your mind. Update: I was mistaken about LilySilk having a 22 momme version of this pillowcase, the 22 momme pillowcase they carry is silk on both sides- bummer! But I did see that Amazon carries another brand called MYK, which is actually a 25 momme that I decided to buy also to compare. The MYK one is twice the price, and honestly? A worse product! The packaging was cheaper plus the label was sewn on crooked and it has an envelope closure versus the zipper on the LilySilk which I vastly prefer... It was maybe slightly smoother than the LilySilk but I could barely tell the difference. I was pretty disappointed and sent the MYK one back for a refund without even trying it. This pillowcase is not navy( the color I choose) on both sides. It does not matter to me personally, but I think it is worth noting. I had the white, which is white on both sides, so I never thought that might be the case with a different color.
