This dress is so well made. I ordered an ivory because it was scheduled to come sooner than the white and i was on a time crunch, but it's essentially white as well, which was fine with me! I did size up one size, but the lacing gives lots of grace. The beading is exquisite! It's relatively full but if you want that real ballgown type feel, add a petticoat. I cannot believe that I found a wedding dress on Amazon and that it was as inexpensive as it was but made so well. I was looking for a reception dress... Something sparkly, poofy, and overall, princess-like... Because when else will I have the chance to wear such a dress? I have a classic, elegant dress for the ceremony that I got from David's Bridal, but I wasn't going back there for another dress. It wasn't the best experience the first time and I wasn't looking to spend on a reception dress, as much as I did on the ceremony dress. I thought well, how bad could it be to look on Amazon and order something to try on? If I don't like it, I can send it back. I am utterly shocked and BEYOND happy with this gown. I also bought a hoopless petticoat to fill out the bottom and I'm wearing it in the pictures I attached to this review. Get the petticoat... You ordered a puffy dress, might as well embrace it. And I recommend the hoopless kind so when you sit, the dress doesn't stand up straight. Also, if it's windy, you see the hoops when the skirt material presses against the hoop. That doesn't happen with the hoopless kind. The back is a corset so it's forgiving in sizing and hips don't really factor in with this gown because it's so poofy. My only issue is that it is long. I am planning to wear flats so the dress is dragging on the ground by about 3 inches. If you wear high heels, or are taller than 5'5", then the length should be fine. I HIGHLY recommend this gown. Dream come true, really. For reference, I am 5'5", 34 D, 150 pounds, 37" chest, 31" waist, and 43" hips. I ordered both a size 8 and a 10. I tried on the 8 and it fit like a glove. I didn't even bother to take the 10 out to try it on. UPDATE: I had my seamstress add a sequined lace to the bottom of the tule skirt. I thought it would bring a bit more sparkle to the skirt part of the dress and it did that. But it also made the dress feel more finished. I'm beyond happy that I did that. After having the worst experience with the first dress I ordered; I ordered this as a backup. If I had known this dress was so stunning, I would have ordered it first. It came the next day after I ordered it and everything about it was amazing. The dress is high-quality fabric, the beading is gorgeous and the corset back makes fitting it so easy. As long as you invest in the proper undergarments to wear it off the shoulder YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. Nobody I told even believed I ordered this dress last minute from Amazon for less than $100. Purchasing this dress made my wedding day even more special. THANK YOU SO MUCH! ... show more

This dress is BREATH TAKING!!! I wore it on our wedding day. Our ceremony took place outside in a botanical garden. My husband and I did our first dance to "Can't Help Falling In Love With You." I ordered a size 16. This material and corset was fitting and gave space in the back. I ordered a petticoat to go under the dress so it can give it a "fluffy" look. I didn't need to wear a bra. This gown is gorgeous to the floor and I had on high heels. This dress is fitting. If you wear a 14 get a 16 for more room- especially if you have hips and an apple bottom. If you wear a 16 - order a size 18 for room to move and dance around. I was able to dance and twirl and waltz and glide in this gorgeous dress. Many people were taking pictures and complimenting me on how gorgeous my dress was. We recorded our first dance. You can find it on fb under Rotonya Garner. Look for the video on my page titled "And so we danced" if you want to get a clear view of this gorgeous ball gown. I will order it in different colors for future events. ... show more

Great price for what you get…my only complaint would be the shape of the built in bra padding looked a little off from the side view if you’re picking it apart. Otherwise a really pretty dress and worth it to me instead of spending a fortune at a bridal store. I ended up having to size down so I was grateful for 2 day shipping and easy return of the bigger size. ... show more
