This is a pretty set of snowshoes and poles (pink) and comes in its own carrying bag. The shoes are lighter weight than the ones I've used before (the rental kind) and the construction seems solid with strong frame and hefty sharp metal spikes on the bottom. The buckles are a bit tricky to adjust at first - rather stiff straps so not sure how well they'd hold up in cold temps - but eventually worked out fine and will fit much larger hiking boots than my size 7. The poles are not as slim as I expected nor do they fold up to a very short length but feel sturdy and easy to adjust. Hope these will be much easier to hike in than the rental ones and can't wait to putting them to good use this winter. ... show more

These aluminum snowshoes are light weight to make it easier to lift your feet while walking with them. The binding makes it easy to secure or remove the snowshoe from your shoes/boot. The ratchet on the binding makes it really easy to adjust the tightness over your shoe/boot. There are deep spikes on the bottom for good traction in the snow. I also like that there is material in the front and back to reduce the amount of snow that could build up under your shoe/boot. And the poles that come with the set are a great addition. There are three options - capped, spiked and/or you can add the cages. And the color matches the snowshoes. I should note, as you can see in my pictures and theirs, the snowshoes are pink - not red! ... show more
