The chains are awesome and they look freaking great right out the box! I've gotten compliments galore and everyone thinks it's real and I have to inform them it's not. Bottom line though is I've had mine for about a year and I wear mine everyday and put them through a lot of wear and tear honestly and they've started to fade a bit (this was expected...I bought a gold PLATED chain and didn't expect it to shine forever like solid gold hence why I paid about $4,900 less for it). I emailed lifetime and told them that they had started to fade a bit and was honestly just going to purchase another to replace it and decided to email just in case and without hesitation they asked for the order number to find out what type of chain and boom had me another sent right away! I was shocked! The LIFETIME name is for a reason! Thats all you need to know right there!! (Is for me at least) They stand behind their product and it's very reasonable in price and it looks freaking great!! Can't beat that! ... show more

When it first arrives the necklace is beautiful. Nice weight. Nice shine and nice overall quality. I ordered 2 pieces. A 22 inch and a 20 inch. I ordered both to see which one would look nicer on me. I (m19 5’7” 135 pounds) found that 20 inches looks nice on me for the style I’m going for. I only wore that necklace 2 days a week for 6 hours for a month and a half. I used it for college. I wasn’t sweaty or moving a lot. I made sure to be cautious and not to rub it a lot with my clothes or skin to avoid it from fading. I didn’t shower with it or nothing like that. So in roughly 72 hours of light wear the chain started visibly fading. I was really disappointed. I had other chains ( plated 18k 24 inch) from Mexico last me 1 1/2 years before then showed any signs of fading. If the description is to be trusted, I believe 24k is just too soft of gold to be on a chain. It’s a bummer really. The necklace is really nice just doesn’t last long. Appears to be a quality chain especially at this price point. Although I won't be wearing it daily, it seems to have a strong plating that should be able to withstand the elements. The ONLY reason I did not rate a perfect 5 star, is because of the method used to stamp the gold karat rating. Rather than simply stamping the rating on one of the clasps, there is an extra tag-like link added that can't be removed. It's not a huge deal, but I feel it gets in the way of a "smooth and clean/simple" look for the chain, it's a distraction for me. I hope they can reconsider this method of stamping their chains in the future with new models, it would certainly improve the look with that detail. ... show more

1/24/17 - okay had this chain for about a month now. Wear it almost everyday, except when showering and sleeping and it's still hasn't lost its touch at all. Without me flashing or tucking it out people notice it's shine around the back of my neck and ask me how much I dropped for it etc. So definitely attracts a lot of attention, still shiny and no skin problems at all (constantly check if my neck turns green lol). Lastly I received a email dictating how to keep its shine (one option was windex) so I cleaned it twice in the month I had it. Overall pleased with this item. Hopefully they make box Franco chain Okay I only had mines for about a week and I love it. The heavy feel and shine definitely makes it feel real (even tho it's authentic gold plated lol) but I kept it on the whole day the first day I got it just to test if it would make my neck green to which it did not. The second day wore it in public and got positive feedback without even mentioning the chain itself. People swore I bought an actual gold chain especially after feeing it. Overall satisfied so far. Still shiny no complaints and my neck isn't green yet lol ... show more

bought for my boyfriend’s anniversary present to replace/rotate with his current chain. He loves the appearance and weight of the chain. However, he’s worn it for a month straight, and last evening I discovered the brightness has faded and it’s now a dull gold. Most importantly, it was tarnishing all over the back of his neck. He does well cleaning it & keeping it away from water. He’s upset that it’s now set aside for special occasions/short term use but he understands that will give him the best life span for the chain.
