This collection of observations and stories is delivered thru a unique perspective. The authors Drivers seat. Raw, funny, insightful and uniquely presented to open my eyes to people's challenges. I think we all know people have personal issues, but this brings a new level of awareness. My take away, be sensitive and kinder to people. You never know what burdens people are going thru. Sitting in the back seat on a ride from the airport to anywhere, I have often wondered what Uber drivers experience that could become a movie. Now I know! Peter Gailey places the reader right into the vignette - whether it is a woman leaving prison in the middle of the night, a great new business prospect, or tales of betrayal and angst, this book has it all. I bought this book because the premise, people will say anything if they dont think there are consequences, was fascinating to me. The author is unbelievealbe in his use of language and humor to describe the "charactors of life" that he encounters. Great job - a fun read. Open the cover and the ride takes off! Peter’s stories are compelling, filled with compassion and discernment. His writing style makes you feel like he’s sitting right there telling the stories . I kept turning pages to see who was getting in the car next !

I just had an appointment cancellation. I checked my email and saw that Peter’s book was published on Amazon Today. I listened to it until my next appointment and hated that I had to stop. Peter claims that “That back seat of a car is the most honest room in America.” I’m inclined to believe him now that I’ve heard his initial stories. I also am jealous of him. As a Clinical Psychologist and ordained Anglican Priest, I know that kind of honesty is hard to come by. Also, I have to put in my vote for Mike Rowe to follow up on narrating these unhinged stories of America as we buckle up for “Life is a Trip” according to Peter Gailey.
