Description

This game has the potential to be good, but honestly, it doesn't feel like it's finished yet. When I start my game, all I get is a black screen. I have to hit the home button and then click on the Willowdale icon on the home screen again for it to register the menu. The controls are not intuitive -- you have to use the top R and ZR buttons quite a bit, for example, and those buttons don't always register correctly when you push them. I end up button-mashing R or L to try to switch among tools, miss the one I was trying to get, and then have to do the whole thing again. Sounds whiny, I know, but it's irritating. You also get a sword to fight monsters, but there's no way to "equip" or do anything special with it aside from just hit ZR a bunch. No strategy or anything -- just dumb luck. I'm hoping that an update will come out that will fix the glitches. This isn't a new type of game or anything; these types of farming/relationship building/monster fighting/supply gathering games are super-popular (Stardew Valley, anyone?), so it shouldn't be hard to have more intuitive controls. It feels like no one test-played this before releasing it. I'm going to play it a little more because I really want to like it, but on the whole, I feel ripped off. ... show more

It is really cute and I like that you have access to animals right away. I have never seen a pig be an option as a farm animal in games like Harvest Moon, or the like. The mission board is a nice touch to grow friendship levels in the community, while getting paid. It's worth the buy if you have patience for the slow walking character (takes forever to walk around). I play then switch games if I get frustrated with the slowness. It keeps me going back to see more though. Also has creatures to battle, you can bring people from town with you if you have enough friendship with them (doesn't take long). Seems like an old game. Doesn't react to any Nintendo controls predictably which makes any game no fun. Disappointing! Save your money, and don't be a sucker like I was. 🥴
