This is a good air cleaner , the filters are high quality the hepa filter has a lot of folds and very ,tight nothing will go through it. It also has carbon and other filters of high quality. The carbon and hepa filters are about 1/2 to 3/4" thick. The fan is quiet enough for a bedroom , but at high speed good enough for a large living room . 2500 sqft not sure about that but it does move a lot of air. I’ve owned many air purifiers in the past and have to say that the Asept-Air brand is the best in the market. These units look great, are well built, and have more air purification capacity than other units priced much higher. Bells and whistles aside, what you want, and need in an air purifier is good filtration and that comes from a good blower, good filters and good air delivery. Asept-Air nails all 3! Don't be fooled by fancy marketing, an air purifier is, at its most basic level, a box, with a fan and some filters! You will not find a better, or even as good a unit for the price Asept-Air sells theirs. Whether you’re trying to control odors in your home, reduce dust, eliminate germs or simply improve the quality of your indoor air, this is the model for you. The filters on this model are quite substantial, especially the activated charcoal (2 lbs.) I had ordered a different brand, 2x the price, also with great reviews, but the filters were much smaller, so I returned that and bought a 2nd Asept instead. Been using it for a month and very happy with it. It is basic, no fancy features, but it does the job well. Also looked much better than the photos. ... show more

    • Unit really is only for smaller rooms if you have sever allergies
What I dislike is it is very loud unless you haven't on the lowest setting, unfortunately I can't do that the dust is so bad in my apartment that I have to run it on high most of the time. Even on medium it's loud prefilter is hard to clean I tried vacuum ad then wash it pulled also I had to change my filters because they don't just sell the prefilter . It may be fine for a small room not my room is 450square feet and it dose not do a very good job. It's Better to buy a large professional are cleaner that has a large filtering system I may have to say up but in long run it will be worth it. ... show more

This works so good. We got this about 6 or more months ago. I'm really glad we got this. Well worth your money. We have it in our room. And with the a.c and this, its so nice and cold in there. Depends on how dusty your house or room is, you may have to clean it more often. That just means its working. Dust your not breathing in. Also, we can't find our brush. So don't loose that. And the thing to open it with. I have that in my purse, but forgot where I put the brush. Do not wet any part of the pieces. ... show more

I have 3 of these units 2 that I purchased in 2022. I've used different brands over many years and the Asept 2550 I rate as the best value for the money. The filters are very high quality and reasonably priced. Recently the filter indicator light started flashing on the last two and following the manual instructions wouldn't clear them so I contacted the company and rep said to try this. Press and hold speed + and timer + 3 seconds until you hear the chime and light goes out not speed+ and timer - as manual says. The rep responded within 24 hours.
