I needed a wider opening on the bracket. After studying it, i was able to just Dremel a small piece off so the drawer slide would fit. Once I did that it was very easy to install. It's made of ok plastic; if this one brakes under the weight of our silverware drawer I'll look for something that's all metal. Ignore those negative fb saying size is too small, size is PERFECT! Yes it is slightly smaller than 1 inch, but it is designed on purpose, this way allow you can have a tight slide in fit. Give it a push , you get a PERFECT tight fit!

We had drawer slides put into our cabinets about 5 years ago. One of the drawers collapsed with a rather loud crash. I pulled it out, and found that these frames had broken. I don't know if it was an installation issue or an overloaded drawer... I ordered these (the same brand as the original) to replace and reinstall the drawer. Inside, there are "rails" -- seems like that's not the right word, but I don't know what is -- for the drawer side ball to roll in and out of. However, it's unclear if there is a "left" and "right" socket on this product. Through trial-and-error, I discovered a couple of good ones for installation. For example, I installed two (one on each side), and the drawer would not slide all of the way back. I couldn't figure out why, until I realized that the "rails frame" was bigger on one side than the other. I switched it out with another slide that had a lower side (on both sides -- this is why I feel that it might be a manufacturing defect... where some of the slides are too thick on one side). Eventually, I found slides within the packages that worked... and I was glad that I'd bought extra packages just in case. So, it will do the job. To save yourself work, check the slides before installing and look to see that the interior walls are relatively short, and uniform. I'd also suggest buying an extra package. They're not expensive, so it's easier to deal with potential "duds" that way. ... show more
