These things are sturdy, and even though I don't like them much, they work well as glasses voor tea, coffee, beer, and wine and probably moonshine too. I feel like a country bumpkin but at least now I have 12 identical glasses and not 7 odd mismatched.. drink containers. I only give it 4 out of 5 stars because I'm not crazy about the look. I love mason jar glasses and these seem to be as sturdy as ones I have had before. Everything is smooth and the glasses seem heavy for their size when you pick them up. Price was decent considering the times. I did receive some broken ones when I opened my box. I live very rurally and nowhere near a UPS store (package too large to send through the drop box in town) and cannot drive the 30 miles one way to go to one and take the gamble that a new box would make it to me without broken glasses. I tried to contact Amazon about this matter to see if they could at least refund me the few dollars for the broken glasses, but it will not let me contact about it- will only give option to send the entire box back for a refund, or send back and they send a replacement box. Since I cannot find these in store, I have kept the remaining intact ones, but buyer beware; you may have broken glasses. There is no cushion or packing paper in any of the glasses, just a cardboard separator between them all. My box was not damaged in any way at all- it looked pristine, so I was definitely surprised to receive broken glasses. ... show more

    • Best buy EVER! Practically unbreakable, amazingly useful.
Got a set of these years ago and, together with plastic lids, they have been the BEST things I’ve ever bought on Amazon. And that’s out of more than 1000 purchases! Why are they so great? Because I’m handicapped and walk unsteadily with a cane. If I use my free hand to carry a drink in an open container, I’ll spill half of it. With lids, the drinking jars not only don’t spill, they DON’T BREAK. I’ve dropped them full and empty on carpeted floor, laminate floor, and tile floor—everything but bare cement—and they just bounce. I haven’t broken a single one of them. Because they are glass, they don’t absorb anything you put in them or release harmful chemicals. And they are easy to keep sparkling clean. And if you don’t need a full set of drinking jars, you should buy them anyway, because they take all kinds of Mason jar lids that you can buy on Amazon, Etsy, etc. That includes some lids with coin slots that allow you to use the jar as a coin bank. And others with criss-cross wires for cut flowers, so the jar becomes a little flower vase, etc. And filled with bright-colored candies or Christmas ornaments these jars make good holiday decorations. With the colorful plastic lids now available, they make an excellent gift for that senior who has everything. Give them the whole box or just a few jars. Or give each person at the office one jar with a bright colored ribbon and something attractive inside, like home-made white chocolate peppermint bark. We have had drinking glasses like these for the past 25 years. We had a set of 12 that dwindled down to 8 and had been looking for these. I needed glasses that were easy to hold (I have issues with my hands) and these fit the bill. I was concerned about them being safely delivered. They came via UPS and they were all in one piece. The manufacturer had packaged them with care and forethought in the sturdy box. These are nice and sturdy glasses. Very much worth the cost. ... show more
