Description

Upgrade to an LG IPS 4K screen, delivering ultra HD resolution with supremely accurate colors, even when viewed off-angle. The 27-inch display offers versatility of USB Type C connectivity (90 Watt power delivery) for data transfer, 4K display, and charging multiple devices. Experience smooth gameplay with AMD FreeSync (used with supported video cards), virtually eliminating screen tearing and stuttering that occur as a result of the difference between a graphics card's frame rate and monitor's refresh rate. Dynamic Action Sync reduces input lag and elevates your gameplay, allowing you to respond to your opponents quickly. Keep visibility even in dark scenes—LG's Black Stabilizer senses dark scenes and helps make it brighter so that you can find the enemies hiding and waiting to attack your player in the dark. • Good 4K Monitor for MacBook Pro - 13, m1
Style: Power Delivery : 90W
I had an older 1080p 27” Monitor that looked Ok on my Dell PC but like crap with my MBP - 13”. So decided it was time for a 4K monitor. Originally bought a Lenovo Qreator 27”, but heard of usb c charging issues requiring a firmware upgrade. But you need a usb c Windows PC to install the firmware. I don’t have a Win PC with USB C. I asked the BB Geek Squad guy what he recommended and his response was “I would return it”. So I did. Then I heard that LG makes the LCD panels for Apple’s monitors. So I decided on an LG. I’m no graphic designer but the color representation on this monitor is exceptional. I run 1080p out of the MBP most of the time, but the screen clarity coming from a 4K monitor blows away my 1080p monitor. I connect via usb c and it is nice to have one cable for power, video, audio. One disappointment is the usb A ports are 1 amp. Used a Qi wireless charger and port couldn’t handle. I also had an issue with Onscreen Control app on my MBP. I hear issues with M1, needs new version of software (TBD)? Anyway, if you can pick up on sale it is a good monitor for most folks. Or you can buy an Apple Studio display for 3x more? ... show more

  • Works very well
Style: Power Delivery : 90W
Being a mac user I used to a beautiful screen . This does not disappoint beautiful. Was surprised at how bright it is. As I have two windows where I'm using it I can see it just fine for the price. I can't see where you can go wrong.

  • Decent monitor for the price. Used for photo and video editing. Not a reference monitor, but...
Style: Power Delivery : 96W
I like the I/O flexibility. I connected this via USB-C to my M1 MacBook Air. This is the monitor connection AND the power supply/battery charger for the computer. AND, it has a pair of USB-3.1 A connectors on the back. I hook my older Apple Extended Keyboard to one of them. I use the other for a slow 3TB conventional USB drive. The monitor also has two HDMI inputs and a Displayport input. I'm not sure when I'll need those, but they're nice to have. The monitor calibrates nicely. The picture seems to be a very close match to the LG-made monitor in the MacBook Air, when both are calibrated to the same numeric aims with a Datacolor SpyderXElite. I also bought a CharJen Pro Ultimate Dock Gen 2, which gives me an SDXC 4.0 card reader, SDXC 4.0 Micro card reader, Two USB 3.2 type A ports, 10/100/1000 Gbps Ethernet, HDMI, 1/8" stereo audio out, and laptop charger in. I will use that mainly on the road, and to connect a fast Samsung T7 SSD for backups and extra storage. My MacBook Air power supply stays in my bag, ready to go. This is a great little setup. I have the nice desktop monitor for serious editing, and the laptop can go anywhere. It's a versatile and powerful setup. 95% DCI-P3 color is nice. Adobe RGB would be nicer, but I don't have to have it for what I do. ... show more

  • The monitor is good, the return will keep me from purchasing large orders on Amazon ever again
Style: Power Delivery : 96W
I purchased this monitor thinking a 27 in would be good. Its overall a great monitor. Few pros and cons: Pro: Good quality Color is accurate with several settings and customizable options USB-C charges the laptop Sleek screen Cons: Screen menu and buttons is a bit difficult at first to figure out Not as bright as I would have hoped Stand is rather flimsy BE AWARE: IF YOU RETURN THE MONITOR GO THROUGH AMAZON DROP OFF / KEEP YOUR RECEIPT: I returned the monitor through UPS because I decided I wanted a bigger screen. I received an email a few weeks later telling me they did not receive the original item and that they were discarding the received item and if they don't receive it, I would be charged the full amount. I spoke with Amazon Chat and found out they said the screen was not in the box. I don't know what happened in transit, the only thing I can imagine is the box was tampered with. So now I am out the full price of this monitor, because I can't prove I returned it. ... show more

  • Pretty great
Style: Power Delivery : 96W
Overall very happy with picture quality, pixel density, and color rendering. Charging a Macbook over USB-C is a little buggy, and the input source selection could be better, but generally quite happy with the purchase.

  • Great monitor, until it went out.
Style: Power Delivery : 96W
I should have listened to the reviews, but I gave it a shot and bought the additional insurance. Glad I did because the USB-C and HDMI ports went out. I heard this was going to be a problem and it was. It's a shame because the color and quality was fantastic, but as my every day monitor for work, it just didn't hold. The USB-C went out first. Then the HDMI port kept going out and would break all connections. I'm not sure I'm going to buy again. ... show more

  • Impressive Display
Style: Power Delivery : 96W
After checking out many online reviews of this model versus others from LG and Dell, I decided on this one to use with my 2019 MacBook Pro. I am impressed with the vivid colors and crisp resolution so far. It is almost indistinguishable to my aging eyes from my 27" 5K iMac's display. The onnly issue so far has been some wonkiness about the USB-C connectivity. I initially connected it to the MacBook using the supplied USB-C cable. At the time I first turned on the monitor using that cable, it said there was a firmware download needed. But after the firmware installation, I could no longer get the monitor to check for firmware updates or use the USB ports on the back of the monitor. Don't know if that was LG's cable, their monitor software/firmware, or an Apple issue. Some online suggested using a Thunderbolt 4 cable instead. So, after connecting via a Thunderbolt 4 cable it still didn't seem able to do firmware checks or make the USB ports available. Then I saw a suggestion to restart the monitor while the Mac is connected. Viola! That was the trick. Now the USB ports are working fine and LG's software is able to check for firmware updates! Assuming that solves the issue for the long term, I'm totally pleased with the monitor. ... show more

  • Great price, great monitor.
Style: Power Delivery : 90W
Although it’s not 5k to match the iMac Retina display, it gets the job done for more than half the cost. Easy plug and play with a usb c cord that was included
