    • OK oven, but I wouldn't have chosen this given another chance
This oven has lots of fabulous features on paper. And I appreciate LG for trying to make appliances look modern. It's been working stably after two years. However, there're some annoying things about this oven: 1. When the microwave cycle finishes, it keeps beeping every 30 seconds until you explicitly press CLEAR button. Just opening the oven door won't stop this. 2. The buttons are hard to press. It often doesn't register on the first attempt. You have to carefully press the center of buttons hardly. 3. The microwave fan keeps running for a few minutes after every microwave cycle, even when the oven is not hot at all, like after heating the butter for 10 seconds. This is noisy. 4. There're lots of fancy features on the product page but little details on when to use them. Examples: - There's very little information about what Steam Cook does and when to use it. The manual only described the steps to use it. It's definitely not the Chinese style steam cooking, and there're very few, if any, recipes for this oven's steam cook. - The product page mentioned infrared heating, but there's no mention to it in the manual and it's not clear how to take advantage of this. - The Speed Oven is featured on the product page, but the manual just vaguely mentioned that it's good for roasting meat and baking bread, without deliberating the impact to the food and the difference against regular cooking. 5. The temperature probe can be very inaccurate. I find it consistently undercook food. I stopped using it after using it twice. 6. The manual mentioned the firmware update feature with the phone app, but afaik this is impossible with this oven. I wish they had it so that at lease some of the points mentioned above could be potentially improved. ... show more

After 2 years of use the black outer screen EXPLODED while we were using the oven. This oven only had warranty for 1 year but this is a safety Hazzard. As my mother opened the door to check on the meat the glass shattered everywhere. She could have easily had that glass shatter in her face. Not only that but I have 2 little kids who walk around the kitchen God forbidd that would have exploded while they were there. This is not common nor NORMAL how the manufacturer explained to us. This kind of accident could have caused terrible damage to anyone. How we are to feel safe using our own oven when this can "easily" happen just because that glass was not built to resist the heat temperature? I'm looking to escalate this further as I'm very concern how this appliance is even out in the market. ... show more

By far, the biggest waste of money. Purchased a full set of LG appliances (refrigerator, dishwasher, cooktop stove & microwave wall oven combo). HOWEVER, as soon as it was installed, the wife began to wipe the oven with damp (water only) cloth before putting in the racks and noticed a flaking chip in the blue paint enamel approx. 1.5” wide. Several calls were made to LG. Very hard to talk to anyone. Always put on hold and never pick up. Took nearly a week to talk to someone. End results was LG will not replace the oven nor stand behind their product. Now just a few days later and the oven lost power just before July 4th when using the microwave. Contacted LG & had tech came out. But he couldn't fix it because he didn't know how to test it. He contacted LG support and was told their system is down. REALLY!! Why does LG have technicians that don't know how to work on their products??? Now we have to reschedule yet another visit just to determine the issue plus another visit to fix it. We've been w/o oven for several weeks and I had to leave from work 3x. With the flacking blue paint inside the oven, electrical issues and a technician that doesn't know how to repair it, I'm again requesting that LG replace this defective oven. LG should take responsibility and stand behind their products. VERY DISSAPPOINTED in LG products and support. ... show more
