I am used to having between 3 and 6 1080p monitors to create a curved experience while having usable screen real estate. The problem I had was the monitor bezels and the fact I was trying to make flat panels appear to curve. I saw this on sale for some $500 off and bought it. I was like a kid waiting for Santa and when it arrived, I couldn't wait to get it hooked up and game! It was too large for my desk. Nothing else would fit! No worries, I have another desk, glass, that will more than accommodate this large monitor. With anything, there are pros and cons, so lets get to it. Pros: The adjustable height stand is a must-have. Once you set it's height, it stays. The assembly was easy yet frightening at the same time. The base was a sinch to assemble. Virtually no glare at all The curve allows for a nice natural turn of the head while still allowing great peripheral visuals while looking at the center. The refresh rate is perfect. While there are higher refresh rate monitors out there, this is the largest monitor I've had that doesn't make me sick to my stomach. Freesync Pro works. That's it. It works for G-Sync on Nvidia cards as well as AMD's Freesync. This is a must-have as it prevents any screen tearing (where the motion on the screen changes quickly, it splits the image horizontally) without the performance hit that VSync creates. Its beautifully designed. Picture in Picture! YES!! You can hook up a Fire stick and a computer and watch a football game while playing a video game. More on my experience with this in a minute. Cons It is huge when it comes to width. Make sure you have the space, with some to spare, before purchasing. Running games at high settings and the monitor at its standard resolution requires a beefy graphics card. It's somewhat harrowing to put the monitor on the stand by yourself. Get a second person. Due to the curve, I didn't even attempt to lay the monitor face down and attach the base. The backlighting should be brighter. Otherwise, what's the point? While it has DTS:X Headphone support, there are no speakers. I'd be happy with the bare minimum for system sounds, but it does pass the DTS:X Headphone sound from the computer through the monitor to a headphone jack just to the left of the power/menu button. I'm not happy with the menus not having an exit option. You have to wait for the menu to time out and close. Now, back to the Picture in Picture statement. I spent $3,000 on a Samsung Ark 55" gaming monitor. Weighing in at 90 lbs, I got the beast unboxed and everything plugged in. It looked fantastic. The problem with the Gen 1 version is no Picture in Picture; in fact, you cannot split the screen or anything you would expect. So, back to the store it went. Now, for $2,000, you can buy the 2nd gen Ark and get all four inputs on screen at once, but I just don't think it's worth it. If you need to rotate that big monitor or need four inputs on screen, go for it, but for me, I love this LG at a 32:9 aspect ratio!

Such a great monitor! If I want to use it to play a game with the 240Hz engaged, I have to drop down to 3 monitors. That is NOT an issue with the monitor and is solely a limitation of my video card. I switched from the another brand's 49" curved widescreen with the same resolution but only 144Hz max refresh. This was a great choice because the other monitor definitely had some backlight bleed that this monitor does not have at all. The backlight is even throughout the entire monitor. It's really nice for handling aggressively wide spreadsheets or remotely accessing someone's computer that has multiple monitors and you can see all of their monitors with ease on this one screen.

This monitor is a must! It’s immersive, sleek, beautiful and really is the best bang for your buck. Gaming on it is amazing, the colors pop, the curve design is just an eye candy, the option to have the screen divided is awesome for browsing, work, etc. The only flaw this monitor has is a white light bleed on the side of the panel. Going to be reaching out to the manufacturer for a fix since it does have a 1 year warranty. Overall 5/5 I would definitely recommend getting this. Side not, if you’re buying this monitor for your pc MAKE SURE you update the drivers for it by going on LG website, locating this model, and downloading the zip file. This update will fix any issues you may initially experience such as screen tearing/stuttering, or flickering. Again for this price, this monitor is a must! UPDATE: After owning this monitor for two years, I completely take back everything good I’ve said about this monitor. It’s junk. Never do business with LG as their quality of their products is subpar. One year manufacturer warranty is a joke compared to other big brands. After two years I have a dead pixel and since my warranty has expired, LG offers to have it fixed for a small price of $800. That’s 100 bucks less than that of a new same model monitor. Again refrain from buying anything from LG. This was my last purchase from such shoddy company.

First I bought a "used-like new" monitor from an "Amazon seller" (not Amazon, but through Amazon). That seller just shipped me a broken monitor than someone else returned and they didn't even open the box and remove the previous buyer's return slip. Not Amazon's fault as this was an "Amazon registered seller" and not Amazon. However, Amazon took responsibility and made it right. THANK YOU, AMAZON! The replacement is amazing. It's bright, vivid colors, wide and beautiful. I'll never go back to a flat monitor. If you game or are in front of the computer a lot you will definitely appreciate this monitor. Yes, it's expensive. Yes, it's worth it.

Attn Reader: I am a PC gamer, not a highly skilled user. When I purchased this monitor there was literally only one real review and like 10 false (wrong product/fake) ones, so I am writing this review to give an honest assessment of this very expensive monitor from a casual user with a primary interest in entertainment value. Buyer Beware! You will find bugs with these things. Windows will have issues, many older games will have serious issues or not work at all with these monitors. You can typically resize things to fit the screen better, but that can be a nuisance and sometimes doesn't help. That having been said, I will NEVER GO BACK to a normal sized monitor again. Not because this beast cost me an arm and a leg, but because it is absolutely magnificent! If you buy one of these, especially if you are a gamer; you will not only see the difference, but you will feel it... This monitor is the future, but it is also a bit ahead of the curve. It's almost as if the world isn't quite ready to take the next step into Ultrawide. But let me tell you friends, it's still worth every penny. To put it simply, for any folks like me who only care about how awesome it is (without nerding out on technical stuff); it will make your game feel like a movie, that you are inside of... This kind of screen is exceptional for any first-person perspective game. I have also had some major success with games that naturally benefit from wide angles, like strategy games, or just anything with wide open spaces. The way the screen wraps around your vision can and WILL make you feel like you are right there in the action. Immersion is by far Super Ultrawide's strongest selling point. To put it technically, the 1000r curve and the 240hz refresh rate, the extra couple inches above regular Ultrawide and that solid LG construction make this a very strong purchase, in my humble opinion. The VA screen and lack of HDR are weak points for visuals, but I have yet to feel any real loss from not having them. My final verdict: if you can afford it, I feel that for any serious PC gamer, this is a must have. This is a crazy expensive purchase, but one you can be proud of.

I own two of these - one as a work computer and one as a gaming monitor - and in both cases, they are perfect! That is a hard thing to pull off, but I cannot tell you how much I love these monitors. For work, having all that real estate to have multiple pages open and viewable is a blessing! As a writer, having my document, my thesaurus/dictionary, and my previous draft in front of me all at the same time makes my life so much easier. Sure, you can do multiple monitors instead, but losing which screen the pointer is on while in the middle of work is an unnecessary headache when these exist! And for gaming? That real estate is a dream come true regardless of what genre of game you enjoy. The resolution is staggering and though some games don’t have native support, very few black barred the edges. As far as price, it’s a lot of monitor for the money and I would say it competes very well with similar offering that are far more expensive. Do yourself a favor and buy one of these monsters. Than let the smile on your face stretch as wide as your new screen!

This is a great monitor if you don't mind sending it for service every 2 weeks. I wanted to love this product but within a week of receiving it I noticed discoloring and lines on the screen. Shortly after that, the power cord stopped working. Every time I woke up my device the monitor would not power on and I would have to unplug and re-plug in the power cord to the back. I sent the device in for service, was without the device for 3 weeks then when I got it back, I encountered the same issues within days. At this point I asked for a refund but could not get one, the device had to be sent for service again so I decided to just purchase a different product. It looks like a lot of other people had a great experience with this product which makes me sad that it didn't work for me.

I had two full size monitors and always hated the bezel splitting the two. One friend recommended an ultrawide, I asked about super ultrawide and he told me no. He said it was more of a pain than a benefit. 4 months in, and I disagree entirely. This thing is amazing. The amount of real estate you have for running something complex is unbelievable. Can have 7 or 8 windows open, or run several programs at the same time. Scanning photos and running photoshop while watching a movie? No problem. I'm watching youtube on the other half of the screen as I write this review. Gaming can be a pain trying to get things to run 32x9, so you're gonna become familiar with modding (I only really play Star Citizen and Fallout, with some other games here and there). But the immersion is second only to VR when you get it running. HDR is kinda shit if I'm honest, but maybe I just prefer the default, more saturated colors. Overall, there was an initial 2 weeks when I wasnt sure I made a wise decision, but after a few months, I dont think I can go back to a dual monitor setup. The only thing I would change is putting it on a monitor stand, because the legs are very large and takes up a substantial amount of desk space. Pick this up on black friday.
