  • Great monitor with a couple of quirks
Love this display. Picture is great on every input I've used. No complaints with the image itself. Black levels are good. Responsiveness is good. Now to the quirks: - It loves to dim itself. If you don't have a larger window open and moving, it will start dimming and ultimately turn itself off. Its fine if you're playing a game or a movie fullscreen. The challenge comes to if you're doing productivity work or reading .. particularly on a smaller/dark mode window. It's so subtle when it starts that I sometimes think my eyes are getting dimmer. Like somehow the monitor isn't as bright as it should be. Maximizing a window or yanking something around wakes it up again. How much of an issue this will be for you will depend completely on what your use case is. It could be inconsequential or it could drive you nuts. - Wakes up and responds to the remote pretty slow. I turned on the audio tones just so I could tell it got the on signal. Otherwise I hit the button multiple times thinking it didn't get the command at first. - If the remote dies, I don't know if there's any way to turn it on or change inputs at all. This is a bit of a ...product design flaw. There should be some kind of on device controls to use as a backup. Remotes don't always last (broken, lost, dies... whatever) I will probably be a bit annoyed if this becomes an expensive brick for lack of a $15 remote. Laugh. The monitor just dimmed itself while I was writing this. (*wiggle* *wiggle*) ... show more

  • Wow I am so impressed!
Very impressed! Let me start by saying I was skeptical in buying this. I saw it go on sale on Black Friday and then they dropped the price even more on Saturday so I had to take a chance. Amazon was very helpful letting me know they had a 30 day return policy so I figured let's try it. I was running 3 x Samsung 27" Curved LCDs with 144htz. I just did not like to Aspect Ratio for the 3 screens while doing gaming and normal work. So a few days later this beast arrived! Easy assembly and set-up. I was immediately taken with the picture quality! It's beautiful! VERY Colorful and Bright! Some people complain about the brightness on the screen. Don't worry it's Bright. I almost need sunglasses sometime. (joking). Anyways for gaming, it's great! The best thing I like is that I can put the screen in widescreen mode. So if I am sitting close to the screen for example while using the Racing wheel on my desk it gives me a better view and does not seem too big for being close up. 120htz or 139 overclocked works great. It does do some dimming of the screen when if the screen sits in 1 place for too long, but this is not something that happens while gaming. So to conclude, it's fantastic and the best screen I have ever owned and now I have 3 Samsung to sell! ... show more

  • Great Picture Quality - The Ultimate Multipurpose Monitor
The media could not be loaded. The LG 48GQ900-B monitor delivers great picture quality with a PC using MSI Z170A mob and a 1060 6G Nvidea adapter. The Windows 11 desktop looks huge and the letters are easy to read. The "YouTube Music" videos of Latin and Jazz events display clear image and vivid colors. I am using this setup as a TV replacement and it is fantastic. This is the ultimate multipurpose monitor to get for a life time. So far so Good. This monitor is very heavy. It would be nice if they had provided hadles to lift the nit and for taking it out of the box without breaking the OLED display. It is best to have two people when unboxing and setting up this monitor. The rating is a four starts due to a three days delay in shipping and a seven days delay in UPS transportation without any package tracking scan updates on the system. The UPS main office in Sunnyvale suggested that amazon submit a claim ticket because the package appears to be lost. Then a miracle happened when the monitor arrived to Sunnyvale UPS two days later. It is highly likely that the delays were due to bad weather consditions while using ground transportation during February to ship the monitor from the East to West coast. ... show more

  • Overpriced and Defective
I purchased this for $1200 on sale and it’s not even worth anywhere near that due to poor quality picture and defects. To start out with the biggest deal breaker of this monitor is it’s only 135 nits brightness, so those darker or even the bright games you are forced to increase brightness 100% and since it’s a Matt finish panel it makes the colors and especially blacks very washed out and ugly. My monitor was defective and also arrived two days late. Randomly some audio would cut out, like you can still here the music or background noise in the scene of a movie or video game but the voices were mute, this kept happening randomly and sometimes all the audio would stop and monitor randomly shuts off by itself and won’t turn back on unless I hard rest it. The pixel cleaning kept randomly appearing on my screen when playing games. This monitor would be amazing if it had the same brightness nits as LG C2 and instead of a Matt finish panel for a glossy one, smart tv, a better controller, no bugs, glitches or defects and if it had Dolby vision. I returned this, I rather get a LG G2 tv and a LG 27 or 32 gaming monitor. I only bought this cause I thought I could get a 2 in one experience due to the size of the monitor. Buy the LG 32GQ950-B over this, it’s basically the small version of this but no OLED, it has way better brightness, color and honestly better blacks, the blacks on this OLED Monitor looked washed out thanks to the Matt finish panel and terrible brightness levels. ... show more
