Item pictured appears to be for a 34" model that has USB-C. What was received was a USB-B instead. I think problem stemmed from the 3rd party seller somehow. If you check the model number with the manufacturer you can see that this model only has two USB-A, one USB-B, two HDMI, one display port, and one head phone connections in the back. This is fine. Once I spoke with Amazon they helped clear up the issue. A USB-B->USB-C adapter should be fine. ... show more

Great size. My first Ultrawide monitor. After using it my prev 27 inch QHD looks small. I have MPB Pro but i didn't purchase USB-C version of this monitor cause All LG Usb-c monitors have speed issues with USB hub. Better spend money on a good thunderbolt hub. Build quality: good but could be better. I have another LG Monitor: Ergo 27 and it's build quality and ergonomic is a way better. Metal stand instead of plastic. Screen: If u worked with good IPS displays (Macs, Cinema displays, LG IPS) u will notice difference. Screen is good but again screen on my 27 LG Ergo IPS looks more rich and colorful. Summary: I think I'll work on some time and then revert to IPS monitor. Maybe LG 28-inch 16:18 DualUp Monitor with Ergo Stand. Or LG Ergo 34. ... show more

    • Excellent large monitor
I have enjoyed all things about the LG monitor except one, the On/Off/Toggle switch. There needs to be a more dedicated method of turning the monitor on and off. The toggle switch is great for changing ports and other functions but is awkward and trying to just turn your monitor on and off. I have to push the toggle several times to just turn the monitor on and off. ... show more

    • Surprisingly Disappointing
I’ve had a dell 34” curved monitor for a few years, so I thought I’d try and upgrade with this. I have an LG C1 TV and have always been impressed with their picture quality. That does not transfer to their monitors. This LG was way worse than my cheaper, older Dell. The curve was very dramatic, text and icons had a slight glow behind them and the monitor wouldn’t stay still when I typed, just kept bobbling around. i guess the picture was fine, but didn’t equal the $670 i paid. It was better than my Dell’s, but not close to the Mac Retina display. There are plenty more better monitors than this, go get one of those. ... show more

It’s a good monitor to replace a dual screen set up, it allows you to keeps multiple files/programs open and working at once all on the same screen.

    • Excellent Monitor for my M1 Mac Mini
I purchased this ultra-wide monitor to be used with my new M1 Mac Mini. I was able to hook up the monitor to my Mac Mini using a USB-C to DisplayPort cable (not included with monitor) and connecting the USB-C end to the Thunderport jack on my Mac Mini. The monitor immediately configured itself to the maximum 3440x1440 resolution. The screen refresh rate is 100Hz for the DisplayPort connection, which is suppose to provide smooth scrolling of the screen images (it does look good, but I can't really tell much difference). I also connected my work laptop to the HDMI port on the monitor (using the provided cable) and it gave me the 3440x1440 resolution but at 85 Hz refresh rate. What's nice, is that I can switch between the DisplayPort input and HDMI input from the controls on the monitor. This monitor come with two built-in 7 watt speakers which sound acceptable, however, the volume can't be controlled by the Mac Mini because the audio signal is sent through the DisplayPort/HDMI connection. I'm not sure if that is the case with other computers and laptops, but that is a limitation with the Mac Mini. In my case, I opted to not use the internal monitor speakers and use external speakers for my Mac Mini audio. This monitor has lots of options to control the color and resolution of the monitor. You can use a preset setting or have your own custom setting. I spent a while adjusting everything until I was perfectly happy with the display output. Note, that the monitor has a flat matte screen to prevent reflections (which I like). Also, this monitor has a slight curve to the screen which I was initially concerned if I would like it, but the curve is so slight I hardly notice it. I believe they added the curve because of the length of the monitor and the fact that if the monitor was perfectly flat you may be looking at the left and right areas at an angle. I've been using it for one week now with no issues. I think it's a great monitor. The only negative I see is that the monitor wobbles a tiny bit as I type on my keyboard. I don't type very hard, so I'm not sure why the slight key typing would translate from my desk to the monitor. If you mount this monitor on a wall you shouldn't have this problem. For me, it's not a big enough issue to return the monitor. If it really bothers me in the future, I can rig up some additional support for the sides. ... show more
