I have been looking to buy a new monitor for weeks. Struggling between an ultra wide or a really big 4k/5k. My biggest want however was a glossy screen, or a screen that resembled glass. I settled on two of these monitors and I couldn’t be happier. I use this with my custom PC and my Surface Book 3 and it JUST WORKS. The colors are fantastic, the brightness for me is great, and when I tell you the crispy detail of the text and photos are amazing, I mean it. I came from an older HP Z27, a 4k 27” monitor which isn’t horrible but the difference is very noticeable, especially for photo editing. All the photos I edit on the computer look the same as on my iPhone and Surface Duo. Incredible. Having the glossy screen adds a layer of value in some weird way. All of our phones and tablets for the most part have a glass screen, why not the same for our monitors? Once you try it, you’ll see the difference. Frankly, this is also the only monitor with a glossy screen that fits within a decent budget. Small cons: 1. Only has usb-c connectors. Keep that in mind. You won’t be plugging in an Xbox into this without an adaptor or a hub. 2. Speakers are mediocre at best. Not really an issue for me as I have an audio interface and studio monitors. But if you want clarification, they’re about the same as a laptop speaker. If you want a crispy monitor with awesome colors and a glossy screen, this is the best bet as long as you can manage the smaller 24” screen.

So far, this monitor is working very well for me. It's the third one I've tried since my old monitor crashed. The first monitor I tried was an Apple Studio Display (about $1,900). It was way too big, and I had to crane my neck to read the menu at the top of the screen. Returned! Next, I tried a 22-in. LG monitor from Amazon (about $115). It had a cheap, cheesy stand, but worst of all, the color and resolution were horrible, at least with my MacBook Pro. Returned! The LG 24MD4KL-B is just the right size and has great resolution and color. My only complaint is that it is a "renewed" monitor, not a new one, according to the paperwork that came with it. I did not understand that before buying it, and I would not have minded paying a little more for a new monitor. Nevertheless, after all the unpacking, setup, repacking and return shipping hassle for two previous monitors, I'm hanging onto this one!

Today 2/17/2023 I received this LG 24 Monitor. I was blown away on the image and quality. Much better than expected. Well built and easy to install. On top of that, the thunderbolt cable charges my MacBook Pro. I bought it refurbished, from amazon, which actually looks brand new. Paid less that 1/3 of the price of a Mac Studio display. I am very impressed with this monitor. Planning on using it and have it for a long time. Thank you Amazon/LG!

This monitor is the best purchase I have made since the shutdown began. I debated getting it from Apple but I went ahead and read the reviews and purchased this "refurbished" model. I put "refurbished" in quotes because I believe, as several other reviewers stated, that this is actually a BRAND NEW monitor. The delivery was next day, the unboxing was flawless — everything was as new as I have ever seen in an electronic device. I set the monitor up in minutes, it is the perfect size to accompany my 13" MacBook Pro. I love the fact that you just need ONE CORD to attach it to the laptop, which charges it as well as sync's it to the computer. The resolution is amazing. Beautiful. Exactly what you are already used to on your laptop. Worth the extra splurge for a higher resolution retina monitor -- but I do not think I am missing out at all from the newest ones. I prefer this design over what they have currently in the Apple Store. It is clean and super streamlined - which I like. Simple lines. The monitor goes up and down a few inches as needed - smooth as silk. It has at least 4 additional USB-C ports in the back. NO NEED FOR CLUNKY ADAPTORS. Also - I debated another, larger size. This is more than perfect. As a matter of fact, sometimes I am working and I just play a movie full screen on this and work while I watch — perfection. I would not want a larger monitor on my desk area, it would be too large and overwhelming (and unnecessary). Did I say I love this monitor?

I am using this monitor with my new 2019 Mac Pro. I have replaced the stock Pro 580X MPX module with an Aorus RW57000XT. With the removal of the Apple module, I also removed my Mac's Thunderbolt capability. Because this monitor only has TB3 input I needed a special BiDirectional cable to utilize the DisplayPort on my Aorus GPU. The cable worked, but I lost my boot screen. This new display is replacing the LG 24UD58-B 24-Inch 4K UHD IPS Monitor After owning it for three weeks, It's going back. Over time I became aware off it's serious flaws. Initially It was better than my previous HP HD. But as I became more critical, the picture was washed out with very poor contrast. Very dim. Small type was hard to read. This monitor on the other hand has no such flaws, and Amazon has a smokin' deal on it right now. The listing says renewed, but I don't believe it. I believe it's brand new without the LG warranty. The display as absolutely gorgeous! It's sharp, bright and clear. Excellent contrast and small type is now sharp and clear. This LG Mac monitor is stunning. I guess it's true - you get what you pay for. The reason for the One Star downgrade is the lack of a DisplayPort or HDMI Input. It really should have one or the other, but I guess Apple has made it a condition for its endorsement that it only have USB C or BT3. Also the LG control software "LG Screen Manager" doesn't work in MacOS Catalina.
