This is a very well-made Levy’s leather guitar strap with excellent build quality and solid materials. The leather feels durable, the stitching is clean, and the adjustment hardware is sturdy and reliable. It has plenty of length and adjustability, which would be great for players who need a longer strap. In my case, I ended up returning it because it was simply larger than I needed. That was my mistake, not a fault of the strap. I play bass, and this is definitely designed for players who want or need extra length. I bought this strap in the Amazon Warehouse for less than $27. It said "used" but arrived new and repackaged (which is typically my experience with Amazon Warehouse deals). What a deal! I wanted a wider strap for my Epiphone '58 Korina Flying V becaues it is a little neck heavy. I also bought a M4GF strap at the same time (also very cheap) to see which worked best for the V. For the V, the Levy's Leathers M4GF-BLK 3-inch Garment Leather with Thong,Black won the battle. The suede underside on the M4GF keeps the guitar from neck dipping at all. But, this review is for the MSS2-4. This strap is just beautiful. The strap is not as flexible and fluid as the M4GF, but that is likely because the strap is multi-layered with soft leather on the underside and has a good amount of padding. I have a super heavy '83 Gibson Explorer, for which this strap is perfect. The strap is actually 4.3/8" wide, and is very comfortable. It actually makes the Explorer feel lighter. It slides on my shoulder with ease, which is exactly what I needed for the Explorer. This strap will be much cooler (as in less sweating beneath the strap when playing) than the M4GF because the M4GF has the soft leather underside instead of a suede underside. The strap has the leather oval Levy's button logo sewn on instead of just having the logo stamped into the leather like on the M4GF, and this is a nice touch. If I find more MSS2-4s in the Amazon Warehouse cheap, I'll definitely buy them.

I don't write reviews - I had to write this one because I'm so impressed with this Levy Leathers Bass Guitar Strap. I have been playing bass since 1964 and had a few bass guitars in those years. In 2013 I bought a Fender American Deluxe Jazz Bass and just bought a second - 2018 Fender American Elite Jazz Bass. I use both bass guitars, but lately after using my 2-inch guitar strap it has started to fatigue my shoulder more than before (maybe because I'm a little older - only 72, but feel like I'm 13). I saw this Levy strap demonstrated on YouTube and decided to buy one. LET MY BRAG ABOUT THIS STRAP - 4.5 INCH WIDE - HIGH QUALITY LEATHER - FANTASTIC WORKMANSHIP - BEAUTIFUL, BEAUTIFUL, BEAUTIFUL - AND IT FEELS SO GOOD SUPPORTING THE FENDER JAZZ BASS....NO MORE SHOULDER ACHE - CAN'T SAY ENOUGH ABOUT IT - SO GET ONE AND YOU'LL BE SURPRISED....AND......IT'S NOT TOO EXPENSIVE EITHER - IT'S WORK EVERY PENNY !!!!

I have a Gibson Victory Artist bass which weighs as much as my car. As an old fart, I'm increasingly finding it hard to stand up for long periods of time -add this pig of a bass to my belly load and my shoulder and back pay for it dearly the next day. This well padded, but not too thick strap distributes the weight over a larger area and because it's not wimpy and doesn't just curl up, I can maneuver the bass to a good comfortable position and it just stays there. I ordered the 4" strap and kinda wish I'd ordered the three inch as it's just a wee bit wide for me -but that's my own fault. This is really super well made and looks great -I can easily expect to have it 'til I croak. For something that relieves so much hassle and feels so great, it's well worth the extra 25 bucks over a cheap ass strap.
