When on high the noise is pleasant but about the level of a floor fan on low, and the sound is much like the swishing of the ocean. Purchased for my daughters dorm. One of the top items everyone mentioned for dorms. We removed all items from packaging to make the move in process more smooth. As everyone knows when setting up dorms, it’s A LOT!! We just plugged it in and didn’t think we needed to read directions? While perusing Tik Tok I started seeing lots of videos of people realizing the filter is wrapped in plastic and needs to be removed. Sent daughter message to check hers, repeatedly. Of course she never did. Two months later she had her roommate burn an item in the microwave which added a terrible stench to their room. I told her to turn air filter on high. That should remove the stench. It didn’t. Finally I reminded her about checking the filter. Sure enough it was still in the plastic! She later went down her hallway to tell the other girls and sure enough they all still had plastic on theirs too! LOL! Once the plastic was removed, the stench finally left the room… ... show more

I put this in my smaller single-room basement where my cat litter box is, I hang dry my laundry, and I have my office, and there’s just no air flow. My basement no longer feels or smells dusty, and the litter box doesn’t even leave a lingering smell in the air the same way it used to even after I’d clean it. It took about a day for me to really notice it and it’s been super consistent since. It’s a great size, has a couple control setting levels, and looks great! Easy to setup & get going. I had something smelly in my kitchen that was lingering, brought this guy up to set in the kitchen, and it helped a TON. For personal use, small rooms, like a small office or dorm bedroom are perfect. It provides clean air for sure, and there’s a built in “diffuser” part for essential oils if you want a light scent in the air. If you’re looking for something to help during wildfires, you’re asthmatic/have a condition and require cleaner air, this can help you in the right situation. You have to keep in mind the limited power of the H128. If you’re said above^, I would invest an extra 60-80 US dollars into buying a better, bigger purifier for yourself(I always suggest Levoit, great company with great service). All in all though, I recommend using this for small, small rooms, or for personal use, again. The filters are really not expensive, they’ll generally last 2-4 months, that I’ve seen, and that’s a set of filters, two filter replacements to be exact. Buying direct Levoit filters vs buying third party hasn’t really shown me a drastic change in air quality, I do live in a cleaner AQI region most of the time though, and usage and area could very much vary how often you’ll have to replace this specific one. The bottom comes off to reveal where the filters are placed, a little twist and it pops off/pops back on. Once your filter is ‘done’, a red light will take place of the cooler white. Not to worry, just pop your two new filters in, one on each side and press and hold your finger against the “on” button, it’ll reset the machine. This’ll return the red light, to white, but you can use the purifier without having to reset it, it may mess up the timing/when it knows the filter is no longer usable though. ... show more
