Keep it out of touch of child below 12 ages. TIPS: 1. Connect power, put the base on flat surface 2. Two hands hold the plant aiming the centre of the base. Slowly put the plant down towards the base. 3. When feel magnetic force pull or push the plant adjust the position properly to the centre of the base. 4. When feel the force disappears, keep the plant stable for 3-5 seconds. Then slowly loose hands until the plant stays by itself. 5. When failed just repeat above steps with patience. 6. If failed many times turn off the power let the base cool down. Then try it again. 7. Can ask other people for help to set up the plant if you really feel it difficult to do. 8. Remember always take away the plant before turn off the power. 9. So I bought a different one from a different company at first and had to return it because theirs didn’t even work! THIS ONE DID WORK! Lol I’m just glad it worked. The only thing I wish was different was that maybe the magnets were stronger so it would be levitating much higher so you can even tell it’s levitating. Also that sometimes it stops spinning so throughout the day I have to spin it to get it going. Also it’s not big at all so just know that before buying! and a very small bit of weight makes it sink lower even more so it looks like it’s not levitating and almost just sitting on the base. But hey… it at least worked unlike the other companies I tried first lmaoo ... show more

Preposterously slow shipping directly from China..... Item is smaller than pictured, and the faux wood looks good from a distance but is cheap plastic. The bowl does not have a wood grain inside it, so unless it's full it looks crappy. The problem with filling it is that if it is at all off-balance it will vibrate and make a horrible noise that annoys both you and your co-workers. Very finicky. A good buy at half the price, but this is a novelty I don't expect to have much longevity.... I'll try an air plant or fake succulent in it as other's have suggested, but soil will not work due to weep holes on the bottom of the pot, and watering it would be a disaster. EDIT to original review: Changing review from 2 stars to 4 stars. Now that I've found the cause of the annoying hum and placed a permanent object in the float bowl, this is growing on me. If you're getting a dull hum or vibration, check to make sure that the surface the unit is sitting on isn't metal. My desk contains a large amount of metal, and it was interfering. Simply raising the unit on the same desk with a book made the dull vibrational hum disappear. I've had it plugged in non-stop for 2 weeks now and it's working just fine. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. It's smaller than I expected BUT it still packs a punch when it comes to the wow factor. It's super cool. It's one of those things that people are drawn to. I posted a video and a few pictures.. the pictures close up and further away so you can see what I mean about it being small. Ps fyi, we bought an " air plant" for it (local nursery for like 8$ I think) and I soak the plant in a bowl of water for 2 hours twice a week. (don't buy the moss like we did, it ends up killing it unfortunately). ... show more

    • Mildly interesting fire hazard
I originally purchased this pot as a gift for my sister and I'm glad I decided to test it out with her before she took it home. First off, aligning the magnets so that the pot floats is a nightmare. Took 3 tries before we could get it to levitate once so it will indeed float after some tries. The magnet is incredibly strong, so it makes the setup that much more annoying. But my main issue, which is a serious one, is this thing gets VERY hot. We had it plugged in for about 10 minutes and the magnetic plate was already hot enough to burn me. This was also the case with the wall plug. I see lots of reviews saying they keep it in their office and I would NOT recommend keeping it plugged in for longer than a couple of minutes (which then defeats the purpose). The "wood" is essentially a pattern printed on plastic pieces so it's obviously not real but I wasn't expecting it to be. I would not buy this again and I plan to return it. Not worth the $60 and the extra $20 to get here for the holidays. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. The product is a lot smaller than I thought. However it tells the dimensions in the write up. It typically spins clockwise for some reason this plant is going back and forth I like it. It works it is cool looking convo starter.
