I had one of these in the early 1970s that was 100% cotton. This has a bit of polyester in it that allows it to stretch and adds a little bit of warmth. The new one is a far better jacket than the original. I bought it specifically because I wanted a light jacket I could throw on, walk to my woodpile, grab a arm full of wood and bring it in.
