These jeans are nice. They fit well and are a good weight of denim. They are button fly so keep that in mind if you don't like that. Color is good, and its light blue fade. The color isn't even all over, so the area in the fly is darker, etc.

    • Not the 501s I've worn for 50+ years - cheap knock-off
I've worn 501s since high school - 50+ years ago. My mom always threw a new pair in a hot water wash and they "shrank to fit". My wife continued that practice - washed in hot water with Tide and hung to air dry. There was none of this babying jeans as seems to be what some do now. They were worn to work in and play in and had a hard life but they lasted and came back for more. I have pairs I've worn for 5 or 10 years (some maybe more) and the material weight of the younger ones is substantially more than these, and maybe about the same as the older ones. These are labeled as 501s, are now called "Rigid", and upon initial inspection seem for all the world to be genuine 501s but they are actually a poor imitation of the 501s I've known pretty much all my life. When these were washed, they did not shrink to fit, came out of the washer with crease lines at the seams running down the legs and were generally a big disappointment. Returned. ... show more
