    • Seamless and invisible smart lock
TLDR; Perfectly designed and machined, easy to use and integrate, but you'll likely need to do a little work on your door unless your builders were perfectionists. Also, get the connect wi-fi dongle. I recently got a house with a smart lock that told me I was unable to use it due to not being the "owner." While this makes sense from a security perspective, there was apparently no way to reset the device, even with full physical access, without engaging the prior homeowner. This wasn't a problem as we'd been in contact, but annoyed me no end. That, plus the fact that the prior smart lock was a tumor attached to the deadbolt, ate batteries, etc. led me to seek out a better solution. Level's bolt is the better solution. It is hidden in the door, uses your original hardware, seems to not be vulnerable to any standard attack with magnets etc. It's designed very well, to spec and standards, and works perfectly. The app is low footprint and can be dropped once you hook the lock up to google home or alexa. It just offers more details about lock and unlock history. I gave "alexa integration" five stars, though I am using it with Google Home. I have to assume the experience is similarly easy. Ease of install should be five stars, but it does require more fiddling with hardware than other on-top solutions. Ideally this would amount to a couple more screws to take out. However, beware that most homes are not drilled and cored to exact spec. This lock measures perfectly according to spec, but my door did not. I ended up carving out a little more wood on the wall side for the deadbolt to fit through (not much, it was flat before but drilled offcenter with a round hole). I also had to do a bit of carving with a chisel to get the strike plate on the door side to fit properly. All-in all, it was very satisfying and not hard, just a little time-consuming. Once it was in place, the rest of the setup only took a couple minutes. I'm fairly certain that the problems with door fit were why the prior lock solution ate batteries, as the motor in it had to struggle (as would a human with fingers) to get the deadbolt into place. Now that the hole is in the proper place for the deadbolt, keys, fingers, and the smart lock all work with no pressure/effort, and the lock has been in place for longer than it took to burn through a new set of batteries on the prior smart lock I had. Title: Game-Changer for Smart Locks – Invisible and Reliable! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I was looking for a smart lock that wouldn’t change the look of my door, and the Level Bolt delivered perfectly. It’s completely hidden inside the door, so from the outside, you’d never know it’s a smart lock—just what I wanted! Installation: The installation was easier than expected. It fit right into my existing deadbolt, and the instructions were clear. Took me about 20 minutes with basic tools. Performance: The lock works flawlessly with the Level app and Apple HomeKit. Auto-unlock is super convenient when my hands are full, and I love being able to check the lock status remotely. The locking and unlocking are smooth and quiet. Security & Battery Life: Even though it’s hidden, it feels sturdy and secure. Battery life has been great so far—I’ve been using it for a couple of months, and the included CR2 battery is still going strong. Final Thoughts: If you want a discreet, reliable, and smart way to upgrade your home security without changing your door’s appearance, the Level Bolt is a fantastic choice.     • Terrible Support
The installation was fine, and my Level Bolt works. However, my Level Connect gets stuck after adding it. It won't update it's firmware. After doing a lot of troubleshooting, involving adding additional wireless network devices for testing, and using my phones hotspot; there was no change. I then contacted support, and over an hour long phone call, I was required to do it all over again. At the end of the call, they refused to replace the device, stating that this case needed to be escalated. I've now spent four more days and over a dozen emails repeated myself yet again, with zero forward progress. I do not understand how this could be financially viable for this company to spend this many support hours to only achieve making me dislike their company. I'm either going to return this garbage, or get a replacement at long last, and they will have to pay for that plus these hours of pay for their support staff. As of right now, I don't suggest this product for anyone. Go buy something from a company that doesn't have an awful support system. ... show more

    • Love my Level - just purchased a second for our back door
This is my second Level Smart Lock—after loving it on my front door, I had to get one for the back. Installation is incredibly easy, and from the outside, you’d never even know it’s a smart lock. It’s super sleek, blends in perfectly, and functions just like a regular lock—until you experience the convenience. My wife and kids think it’s the easiest lock we’ve ever had, and I have to agree. The ability to share digital keys with guests when we’re not home is a total game changer. It may just be a smart lock, but with 2 kids that run in/out a zillion times a day it’s hands down the best piece of tech in our home. Highly highly recommend!!! ... show more

    • Get the Level Lock+ Instead
Tried the Level Bolt first as I wanted to keep the orignial hardware matching. After a few days of trying to make it work properly, and a useless chat with support, I decided to return it. Why? Connectivity is not great at all, even with the bluetooth range extension on and using an Apple Homepod for connectivity with Homekit. Siri can unlock the door but i t takes too long and sometimes fails. The lock is well made and easy to install but fails in connectivity. FYI - I returned this item and purchased the Levelo Lock+ - WOW, such a difference in quality and connectivity. Works with Siri, and unlocks quickly and with a sound via the Homekey in iphone or apple watch. Skip the bolt and get the Lock. ... show more
