  • Bullet proof
I’ve been using leupold scopes for years, best scope on the market in my opinion.

  • Fantastic Sight
It's just what's needed for a small, compact rifle. This is not for shooting at objects 500 meters away. Instead it is for quick shots at closer targets. The quality of the scope is awesome.

  • Clear, light and small
This is my second Leupold product and I love it. Lighter and smaller than the other lpvo's I checked out before buying this. Best part is the clarity of the optic even at full magnification.

  • Junk
"Outside the return Window" Unfortunately I trusted the Brand and waited too long to mount on a rifle I was waiting on. Probably the seller selling factory reworks, seconds, who knows. Scope "Up" is maxed out so bad can see the gun barrel when mounted. Disappointing.

  • What happened to Leupold quality?
Aside from the Leupold name on the gold band you wouldn't recognize this as a quality Leupold product. This is my 12th Leupold optic since 1996, with the majority being VX-II and VX-III in the 2-7x or 3-9x. I have also purchased many Leupold rings, mounts, laser range finders, binoculars and red dots. The last scope I purchased in 2019 was a Patrol scope that I really like. I live in the PNW and Leupold is typically my go to favorite. Anyway I needed an affordable light weight scope for a little single shot rifle I picked up for my nephew and thought I'd put a Leupold on it before I gifted it. As soon as I opened the package and saw the traditional Leupold quality box was now just a thin box and the packaging was replaced with cheap foam and the nicely printed typical owners manual, was reduced to a pamphlet, I knew something wasn't right. As I removed the large over sized Chinese style turret covers, I discoverd they were hiding a disappointing feature. The new plastic turret dials with D&D like dice numbers. Not only were they slippery and not very functional but ugly as all get out. I decided to hold my judgment before I tried the thing because for all its uglyness and cheap plastic turret dials it had a really nice reticle. When I was bore sighting the scope I notice the elevation moved up and down faily easy without much in the way of discernable detent sound. However, the windage adjuster easily took twice the effort to rotate and did make sound. I have no doubt the quality of the internals are not there anymore. So I went to the range and that's when I notice the parallax seems to be very much off. I focused the reticle eye adjustment a few times thinking I had not done it right, even though I have been adjusting scopes for 50 years. The reticle is crystal clear but the down range target remains slightly blurry, no matter what power setting I use. By now I was kicking myself I the butt for not buying one of these a few years back before the changes were made. This is basically a $99 scope pretending to be a $299 scope. Here are the positives: I like the reticle and even with the oversized turret caps, it is a pretty strange line set up. I do think I need to find a good used VX-II and return this. ... show more

  • Weird
Instructions do not match the scope. Not sure what’s up with that but the weirdest part and I don’t know if they are all like this or if I got a bad one but the really small skinny end of the scope is what faces out toward the target. The big side of the scope is what you look through…. This is unlike any scope I have ever seen and it says the opposite on the instructions so I have no idea if I got a bad one or if this is by design but either way it looks funny having the small side facing out I did not like it. Never used it so I can’t comment on the quality of it other than this is a unappealing design for sure. ... show more
