I am so thrilled with this GOLD tablecloth ... not only to FINALLY find the right size for my 54"x70" oval table, but also with the easy care for such a luxurious tablecloth ... that I can't praise it enough. Because of the high cotton content, it isn't sleazy/thin like some synthetics I've seen, but the polyester content is enough to help it come from the dryer (still slightly damp) with few wrinkles; I may have to mist the curve on the ends a little to smooth them out, but that is usually it (I won't knowingly buy anything that I suspsect requires ironing). I plan to order another in the cranberry for holiday time. Even with minimal shrinking (expected from my previous experience with this much cotton), it still provides a nice overhang on my 2-inch thick table. So many oval cloths seem to be made for tables that are 48 inches wide and are totally unsuitable for our table. Sigh, I am so happy! Oops, I see that I am reviewing the ivory cloth, but I actually have the gold one. Don't know how to fix that. But I'm sure all colors are equally nice, and I do expect to have several more colors eventually, based on my satisfaction with the gold one AND with the reasonable Amazon pricing. ... show more

This is a nice quality tablecloth. The color, which I was concerned about, was a silvery-white (almost a super light gray color). It is a color that will go with almost anything. It is not ivory or pure white, and there is no hint of yellow/gold, so hopefully that is helpful in deciding what color you want. I washed and dried it, and it did shrink a bit, so make sure to buy something with a little room to spare. You can also throw it back on the table without ironing as long as you pull it out of the dryer right away. This tablecloth is made specifically for an oval table, which is nice, since most of them are "oblong" for rectangular tables. I would order this again. ... show more

Had a hard time finding an oval tablecloth 70" x 86" for my table. Some reviewers think an oblong tablecloth will work on an oval table. I tried several oblong tablecloths and discovered they are rectangles with rounded edges. I didn't like the extra length hanging down at the ends of the two sides. If six people sit at the table, the people at the ends would have a difficult time with the extra material when they sit down and get up from the table. I bought this Lenox tablecloth in white and was so pleased with the look and quality of the material that I ordered another one in platinum. ... show more

For being made by Lenox I thought it would be a little bit heavier - It's a nice looking tablecloth and seems to be wrinkle-free. No food stains or spills on it yet so I can't say whether it's stain-resistant or easy to clean; I gave it 4 stars in those categories.

If you are looking for a quality, elegant tablecloth, this is the one you want, and it won't break the bank! As a soon to be hostess to a wedding in my home, I searched for days for just the right tablecloth in a cream/ivory color to match our color scheme and fit in with my traditional furniture. When I saw the well known brand, Lenox, I knew I had a good chance of getting a quality product. I was better than right on this one. In the photo online it appears slightly more yellow, but it is a true cream/ivory which goes with just about anytcolor scheme or furniture style, very versatile. The color and description do not do this tablecloth justice. The elegant design and quality craftsmanship of the piece was so pretty I left it on my dining room table after the wedding. It’s a beautiful tablecloth and it was a replacement for what I had had for many years and my husband accidentally spilled red wine all over the original one and we had guests and it was his birthday and so we didn’t try and clean it until the next day and it absorbed all the dark red wine by then. It’s easy to wash but it was time for a replacement after having the other one for 20 years. It’s rich and elegant . I was pleased with the color, which was truly white. However, this tablecloth is a much less expexpesnive version of the one I purchased 5-7 years ago. It does the job, but quite thin and not a "premium" brand the way it is manufactured.

    • Excellent quality tablecloth that has received many compliments
Soft and thick, this is a very high quality, well-made tablecloth. There is just a slight sheen to the fabric, and the laurel leaf pattern is lovely. Unfortunately, its form factor doesn't match my table perfectly, so the ends hang down longer than the sides. This is often the case with oval tablecloths, as my table seems to be a bit wider than most. (It's a Queen Anne style cheery table by Stickley's.) That's not a fatal flaw, in my opinion. Best of all, after just a few washing/drying cycles, it's softened up enough so that it looks nice without any ironing. Sometimes I touch up the hem with an iron because the fabric is so thick, the hem doesn't fall flat in all areas. This tablecloth is wearing well. ... show more
