Do you want to sleep for 14 hours? Because these curtains are how you achieve that. I love them! I purchased the black curtains because my bedroom windows face the direction of the sunrise and that 5:30 sunrise in the summer is brutal. I only had one window done and had to turn on my bedroom light to put up the set because of how dark it was in my room. I would say that it's not total blackout. Probably 98%, which I think I actually appreciate a bit more.

I purchased these because they were on sale during the Prime Day deals for $13 & right now money is tight. When they say black-out they mean black-out, cause damn, they work. I needed them for my small foyer (basement apartment) to keep a draft out. I put them up, turned on my foyer light & holy freakin BatFax it was daaaaark! So anyway, they work. And my dog will appreciate the keeping out the draft as their chair is near there. Can’t have our woofers getting cold!!

I was searching for a high quality curtain that would do a few things that I really needed. First, a curtain that would block out the sun, especially during peak hours since my room faces west when it starts to set. Also, a curtain that could lower the temperature in my bedroom, especially in the summer months when it reaches into the 100’s plus in Arizona. I’m literally roasting and getting to sleep is murder even with the AC and my fan on. My prayers were answered with this curtain cause it does lower the uv rays and heat that were killing me making my room darker and cooler. I chose burgundy cause it goes well with my light gray walls and looks amazing. The fabric is thick and not ridiculously heavy. It was easy to install in minutes and picking the right length is very important. Highly recommended!

These curtains are okay, definitely not the thickest, but they do help block some heat and light. For the price, you really do get what you pay for. They’re not full blackout; some light still gets through, but it’s noticeably better than having nothing up. They work fine if you’re on a budget or just need a quick fix. Personally, I don’t think I’d repurchase them, and once I have a little extra to spend, I’ll upgrade to something heavier. But for now, they’re doing the job well enough.

I purchased black and man it definitely keeps the light out for sure. I have to adapt to it, but the material is great and the sizing was perfect. I am not sure yet if it keeps out the cold/heat. I would purchase this item again.
