This is an almost exact replica of the Fender Squier Debut Stratocaster (ASIN: B0CSM4HPJK), but a slight bit heavier. Other than a very minor difference in the headstock (Fender is maybe 1/4 wider), the LEKATO actually has two string trees (better), they are absolutely identical. It plays fine and has decent sound quality. The kit comes with easy to use tools like an amplifier and tuner. The tuner is spot on compared to my Snark ST-2 Supertight (ASIN: B01H62TQ68). The paint/lacquer is absolutely perfectly smooth and beautifully applied. But there are a few downsides. The sunburst looks nice at a distance, but up close you can tell it was printed on with some type of inkjet printer. In the pictures you can see it is unevenly applied, so there is a line across the face of the guitar. It's quite obvious up close and detracts from the overall look slightly. Secondly - the tuner is a bit fiddly and hard to read. Fortunately it is spot on accurate and turns green when you are perfectly in tune. However, it doesn't pick up sound as well as a snark, so you have to pluck the strings quite loud, and it jumps around a lot when the string is way off tune (like out of the box). I ended up having to use my fender app to get the string in the ballpark before fine tuning with the tuner. That makes it slightly less beginner friendly. On the plus side, it does indicated the string number which helps a little. The gig bag is very cheap and not well padded, but ok for someone just taking it to guitar lessons. What's my verdict? Hard to say. Compared to the Fender - you're probably about $50 cheaper at this point after buying a cheap gig bag, amp, but better tuner. I really like the sunburst, look, but this one isn't perfect. If it were me, I'd probably be tempted to get the Fender and a decent tuner and cheap amp (you'll get access to Fender's online courses for 30 days, too) and skip the gig bag until I could afford a real case. But if you're buying for someone that is an absolute beginner, this is an ok, all in one setup. I would maybe go ahead and get the Snark, too, as I think the included tuner will be very frustrating to a newbie. Overall, it's O.K., with caveats.

This guitar feels, plays, and sounds several levels above its price point. Neck is smooth and looks great. No fret sprout. Pickups are a typical strat sound in all positions. Found no issues with the finish. Strings are usable, but not my gauge so didnt use much. The included amp doesnt get very loud, but does play songs via BT so def usable. The tuner seems reliable. Whether its your first guitar or 20th, get this. At this price its a no brainer.

I have played acoustic guitar for a few years, and decided to try an electric. I am not an expert on electric guitars, but reasonably informed. This is one of the best deals, even the guitar store full of snobs I frequent said it was a solid guitar. The good: Sturdy, high quality, and very good looking guitar. This company doesn't make a lot of guitars, they make amps and accessories, but they really understood how to make a nice entry-level guitar. It comes with a strap, tuner, strings, pics, a string cutter tool that winds your strings as well, and a gig back. It also comes with a 5w amp that plugs directly into the guitar. I thought this would be a problem, but it is out of the way and sounds great! I was also worried that I wouldn't have the sound level or quality that I wanted, but I can play it loud enough for everyone in my 1900 sq. ft. apartment to hear. I would buy this again in a heartbeat! Cons: There is no supporting documentation. If you don't know how to string a guitar, or any technical issue, you will need to look it up or youtube. The strings it comes with sound fine, but I broke 3 strings (had to buy another set of strings completely), so I would buy some extra. They aren't the best quality.

I replaced the pickups with a loaded pick guard, new saddles, string trees, and some ernie ball cobalt 9-42 strings, now i absolutely love this guitar!
