Description

This wall mounted laundry drying rack is a sleek space saver perfect for any space. The drying rack looks like a simple wall mount towel bar when closed, but extends to offer 5 powder-coated steel drying lines that provide a total 14 feet of drying space. The lines slide out and hold up to three pounds each, and the unit can hold about 27 pounds total of laundry. The fixed aluminum towel bar under the drying unit offers permanent space for towels, hanging baskets and more to help you add even more organization with this efficient rack. This laundry drying rack is a perfect choice for anyone, but especially those with smaller spaces. It would ideally be mounted on the wall above a washer or dryer, but could also be mounted elsewhere in a laundry room, bathroom, bedroom or other space. It’s perfect for smaller laundry rooms, dorms, studio apartments, RVs, campers and more. Air drying clothes not only saves energy, but also helps reduce harsh wear and tear on your clothing from rough drying cycles. To use the dryer, drape clothes over the rods or pin them with clothespins. This collapsible laundry drying rack is made by Leifheit, a trusted manufacturer of thoughtfully designed European houseware products for more than 50 years.

    • Really Great Product!

Review of the smaller, 28" model: This thing is great! It's so nice not to be tripping over or constantly moving drying racks, or dodging stuff on hangers hung on the shower rod. True, there is not tons of space between the rods, but it doesn't seem to take much longer to dry than when it's more spread out. The 70 model has five rods, so I have dried 5 long-sleeved shirts with room for some socks, or a few pairs of yoga pants and a couple of t-shirts. The picture I uploaded shows a shirt, 3 yoga pants, and several pairs of socks drying in harmony. As I must flip them over the rods, due to mounting height, I can only dry 2 pairs of jeans at a time. I have not used clothespins, but they would work on this. The rods are designed to have a little give, which does not mean they're flimsy. My walls are plaster lath, so installation was easy. In my opinion, the screws and mollys that came with it are sturdy enough. Having said that, I don't hang stuff to dry sopping wet - I fold and squeeze water out, then roll into a towel and lean on it with my knee (planning on getting a spinner eventually for my hand-washing). I wash my towels at the laundromat, thus haven't tried those on the Telefix yet, but I am so happy with this, I plan to get the 100 model which is 40" wide, and has 8 rods. If that works out, I may not need the drying racks at all, yay! Update: February, 2020 Five years later, and I still think it's great! I use it at least once a week and it looks and works as well as ever. I have also gotten a spin dryer for my hand-washing (centrifugal water extractor - no heat), and wow, no soppy towels from blotting, and things dry much faster! I got the Laundry Alternative Nina model and have been very happy with that as well. ... show more

    • Ideal for drying clothes in small spaces

Our laundry room is very small so we have to make the most use of every inch. Due to the lack of space, I had been drying delicates in the dryer instead of hanging them. I was replacing delicates sooner than I used to due to small holes or the material just wearing out. I decided to take to Amazon. This item was an Amazon special and seemed to fit the bill. The price was great and the size was ideal. I’m not very tool savvy but this was incredibly easy to install. You only need a drill, a hammer and a level. It was up within 5 minutes. It it pretty sturdy and held all of my delicates with no problem. Although it is anchored into the wall, I’m not sure I would try to hang anything heavier like jeans or a sweatshirt. It is ideal for the small space that I have and I love that it folds up so it is out of the way until I need it. ... show more

These were a perfect solution for our small laundry room, and in a house with 4 daughters it is a necessity. It is a good price and allows for drying multiple articles of clothing in a small area. I actually purchased 2 of these to be able to hang more articles of clothing at a time. i docked it 1 star for the 2 issues I see: The mounting of the unit and width of the unit. I did as others have done and mounted these to a 1x3 trim peice, that i then secured to the studs (luckily the laundry room is only partially finished, so it was easy to find studs). Also the width of this unit is odd, it allows for 1 article per rung, but has extra space. So I feel it could have been made smaller for such confined spaces. Or a better solution would be to make it 5" wider, it could then fit 2 articles per rung, and would line up with 16" studs (0.5" overhang) making it much easier to mount. Toddler size clothing can fit 2 articles per rung in current width. ... show more

    • excellent, got a second one!

I've had one of these for about a year installed in the laundry room, and then thought i'd move it to the yard for 'sun-dried laundry' -- and it is Awesome in the yard, so much so that i got a second one🙂 it is very light compared to just about any similar model, and also considerably more economical it also folds up neatly and compactly, doesn't look like a laundry line underneath at all, thus i sprung for two in the yard. it's withstood a number of rains so far (when folded) and is perfectly weather-resistant, and holds a full set of damp laundry with no issues.. very cool household invention👍 ... show more

    • A Good Solution for a Small Space
Size: 72 x 37 cm Pattern Name: Single
This folding hanger works very well mounted on a wall that is about 8 inches from the side of our dryer. I mounted it at a height so that long items hang down between the dryer and the wall and the smaller items hang on the portion of the rack that is above the dryer. My only complaint concerns the mounting hardware that specifies an 8 mm drill be used to drill the holes for the plastic anchors. I drilled a slightly undersized hole and the anchors seems to fit OK, but when I tried to tighten the screws the anchors pulled back through the drywall. I ended up using some toggle bolts and that worked fine. Other than that, I like the produce very much and would buy again. ... show more

Pros: compact, looks discreet/tasteful open or closed, versatile. Has a metal bar available to use even when the unit is folded closed. I use clothespins to clip things onto the rack. Cons: questionable mounting hardware. I mounted this in drywall with the two anchors. I’d dry one sweater it but would not be ok with heavy items like jeans. I replaced a wooden floor model drying rack with this. Kept the wooden rack for the few times of the year when I wash sweaters or need a lot of drying space. ... show more

    • Nifty for small spaces but only for small items
Size: 72 x 37 cm Pattern Name: Single
These are groovy little helpers and are holding up well. Plastic is lightweight but after one year of use holding together and working fine. Not for large or heavy items like towels, jeans or tee shirts. We use them for getting smaller items like dish towels and underwear. If loads are too heavy, the screws have a tendency to fall a bit loose in the drywall anchors. The way it folds into itself and goes from a useful drying rack to a strip of plastic on the wall you’d barely notice is the best part. Ideal for small spaces. ... show more

    • Not Heavy Duty
Size: 72 x 37 cm Pattern Name: Single
This isn’t a heavy duty rack and we had to use longer screws than provided. We made sure to anchor one side to a stud. Too bad it isn’t Designed to hit two studs. However, it looks nice and does the job I need it to in a small space. If I need to hang something heavier like pants on it, I make sure to hang them over the side that’s attached to a stud. I would give it four stars since the screws sent with it were too short, but it’s so perfect for my space, I’m giving it five. ... show more
