  • Best game ever.
Platform For Display: Nintendo Switch Edition: Standard
This game is so fun. It allows me to play something with my 5 year old that we both enjoy. If you love Harry Potter, this game won't disappoint. Advice: putting this game into sleep mode without actually quitting the game causes some bugs. Your stud count won't show on the screen anywhere if you put your Switch to sleep without turning off the game. ... show more

  • Faithful, fun couch co-op experience ruined by game breaking bugs
Platform For Display: Nintendo Switch Edition: Standard
This is the second time I have purchased these games-first being on the Wii. All of the features from the original are here, including the infuriating list of defects! The game is a fun and faithful recreation of the Wizarding World told through LEGO creations and original music. The game is filled with so much content and nearly endless replay value to unlock all the challenges and extras. My rating comes from the numerous game breaking bugs. Some prevent achieving gold bricks, unlocking characters, or other “100%” activities. Others mess you up and return you back to Diagon Alley with no rhyme or reason causing you to miss part of the story or requiring replay to hope that the glitch doesn’t happen again. These are all well documented online and no effort has been made to fix them it would seam. My daughter and I had to restart the game in the first book worth of story because we didn’t create a new save file before every level which I’m not sure you can actually do. Overall this is a shame because the LEGO games are some of the best couch co-op games ever made. ... show more

  • Going to make a great Christmas gift!
Platform For Display: Nintendo Switch Edition: Standard
This game was just released today, so I pre-ordered it because I didn't want to take a chance on it being sold out in December. It's a Christmas gift, but I know my little 10 year old Harry Potter fan is gonna love this!! Comes with a promo code for $7 off the new Harry Potter movie, so that's a nice added touch! If you're unfamilier with the nintendo switch games, the games and case are super small! (See pic in comparison to a regular expo marker) Considering the size, I might end up sticking it in his stocking instead. Fyi ... it's rated 10+E for crude humor! It can be a two player game as long as you have the joycons which come in almost all the bundles (Those are the lil red and blue controllers that attach to the side, they come in Gray too) Otherwise it can be played one player as well! Can't wait to gift it to my son, thanks Nintendo! ... show more

  • Kids ages 6-12 really enjoy playing this game.
Platform For Display: Nintendo Switch Edition: Standard
I wanted a game that my kids could all enjoy. This fit the bill, even for my girls that aren't big game players (the kids get 20 minute increments of game play, and only on weekends). They enjoy the tie-in with the books, but being familiar with the books is not necessary for playing these games. My 6 y.o. son that has never read any Harry Potter books and has not seen the movies still really enjoys this game. ... show more

  • The Lego Harry Potter That I Know & Love
Platform For Display: Nintendo Switch Edition: Standard
I used to play LEGO HP on my Wii and loved it then and now on my Nintendo Switch I love it even more! It's super fun to play and provides hours upon hours of entertainment for any Harry Potter fan. It even came with a code for $7 off a ticket for the new Fantastic Beasts movie! LOVE LOVE LOVE!

  • So much fun! Great for 2-player!
Platform For Display: Nintendo Switch Edition: Standard
I never thought I'd play a Lego game as I don't like a blocky look to my video games, but I was struggling to find a good 2-player game for my husband and I to play together when my coworker told me about Lego Harry Potter. I love Harry Potter, and the game was inexpensive, so I thought why not? I'll give it a try. That was the best decision. We have so much fun with this game. It goes through the storyline of all 7 books, and you play 6 levels in each year (but it is set up like the movies, with book 7 having two parts). There are over 200 characters to choose from to play, some having special abilities like in the books. What I especially enjoyed was that it's impossible for you to complete each level the first time through so you have to go back with different characters, and the experience is different depending on who you choose to play. The absolute best parts of the game are the cutscenes. There are no spoken words in this game, so all the cutscenes are done with the characters gesturing and showing pictures to communicate things, and sometimes it's so hilariously inaccurate while also still telling the same story that we just end up laughing for minutes on end. Truly a good time. This game is fun for us adults as we try to find every gold brick and every character token (we're completionists), but it would also be good for kids to play too as the controls are not too difficult to grasp. And I will also add that the dark bits of the storyline have been altered slightly to be kid-friendly. An example of this is *BOOK 4 SPOILER* when Cedric dies in the maze, his body is disassembled into Lego bits: legs, torso, arms, hands, head, etc. But then Dumbledore pulls out a Lego sheet that shows how to reassemble him, giving the impression that he will be okay. Even though we know better, it makes the story less upsetting for kids who would be sensitive to those kinds of scenes. But the alterations are also hilarious. Overall, this is a really fun game that's an excellent option for two-player couch co-op. As someone who doesn't really care for the Lego look, I didn't mind it at all once I got into the game, and it was actually nice to play something outside my norm for a change. Give this game a try if you love Harry Potter; you won't be disappointed. ... show more

  • Fun game
Platform For Display: Nintendo Switch Edition: Standard
It can sometimes be hard to find a fun game for adults that isn't too easy or too violent. The Lego games are usually pretty fun and this is probably my favorite out of all of those. Super fun, lots of replay value as there is much to collect that you can't do until you unlock things as you go along so if you're like me and like to collect everything, you often have to go back to previous levels to collect things. Wouldn't say it's challenging but a fun distraction to unwind after work. :) ... show more

  • So fun!
Platform For Display: Nintendo Switch Edition: Standard
Was skeptical at first because I heard there were bugs and glitches in the game, however, I only ran into one glitch and it didn't affect my game at all. (The glitch was after you bought a red brick to lead you to gold bricks it glitched and kept bringing me to the wrong place but I was able to look up the correct location no problem) :) I had so much fun playing this game, I would recommend this a million times over! ... show more
