The tumbler is fairly easy to use and fairly reliable. For the price, I believe it is a good investment for anyone who wants to play around with rocks. I have two that I have been using for some time now, and they run almost constantly. I do not have any major problems. Yes, the lid can be a bit tough to get on and off this model, but it does not leak. And the tumbles, when finished, look amazing. I have two of these sitting side by side on a board on the floor with a heavy towel under them so the noise is really not an issue. ... show more

Bought this for my husband's massive collection of rocks, we have used it continuously day in and day out for over a month now and everything is still in great shape about this machine. It is a touch louder today, than when we first received it, however not so noisy that you can't stand to be in the same room with it. We have already went through both packs of the rock polishing and grit, that we ordered and I must say, our rocks are still turning out just as gorgeous, as the day we bought this machine.     • Flimbsy and does not seal well

I bought this tumbler about 3 weeks ago and when I tried to use it the drum leaked no matter how hard I tries to seal it. It was a small leak but you cant leave it running overnight. I ended up using electrical tape to seal the lid and that stopped the leaks but then you cant check on the status of your rocks / glass very easily. The drum is rubber and flexible which is probably why it leaks. I will probably return the item. The price would have been good had the item sealed correctly. ... show more

I used this for one project which took a month. Began second project and the motor immediately seized up. I've emailed the company twice and they do not respond. Follow up 12/7/23: The company reached out to me and sent me a new tumbler for no charge. Hopefully this one won't seize up.
