Great shirt, hard to find a shirt like this without the brand clearly visible. Feels comfortable and love how the modern version fits my slim body. Amazon has great great customer service, they accidently gave me a classic size and with no trouble at all their automated system sent me the modern with no charge while also allowing me to keep the classic. I've just been learning more about polos and other mens shirt styles recently. A good polo should not have more than a couple of inches of cloth on either side of the body and should not fall to lower than than mid-crotch when untucked. This shirt fits quite well (I ordered a medium) but unfortunately it is far too long to wear untucked AND has a tail. I do not like my polos to have a tail where the rear bottom is longer than the front bottom. It's a shame so many manufacturers do not design polos for wearing untucked or provide the length measurements for a better online shopping experience. Also, you should know that this is a pique cotton style with a textured weave. For a pique fabric is fairly soft. If you are looking for smooth and very soft polo you should look for pima cotton which this is not. If you are looking for a basic polo that fits well and you either will always wear it tucked in, or simply do not mind a long polo with a tail, then this polo is an excellent value for the money. If you're looking for something you can wear casually and untucked I don't think this one quite lives up to its billing. ... show more

I probably would have given this 5 stars if I didn't love the first shirt so much that I ordered a second. First off, I read the reviews about how the shirt is a bit small so I ordered a medium, modern even though I would usually order a polo in small to get the fit I like. I'm 6 feet about 170 lbs and It fit great, nice and slim but not completely being skin tight where it may be inappropriate to wear to work or something. The only criticism is the button holes seem cheaply made So I come back because the first one was so great to order a 2nd shirt. This time I go for green. I pick the same option: medium and modern fit. So these shirts should be the exact same size you would think. The green one is bigger. I wash it thinking maybe it will shrink. It doesn't really. I triple check the tags. Both have the same size, both made in Egypt, both even have the same RN#. You can see in the pic that the green shirt is both noticeably wider and longer than the blue one. Not sure if a mistake was made and I was sent classic instead of modern or if the shirts are really just this inconsistently made EDIT: so I returned the green shirt and they sent me a new green shirt that actually fits like the blue one at no charge. Still though I have to deduct a little for the inconvenience of shipping the wrong shirt, and just for the shirts just being small in general. As I said, I ordered these in medium when I would usually order a polo in small to get around this fit ... show more

    • What's with the idiotically inaccurate sizing?

I have decades of shirts, literally decades, in large and extra large. I know what a large is. And what an extra large is. Apparently, so did everyone who made polos and t-shirts for decades. So why the hell does Lee unilaterally decide to change the definition of large and extra large by not one, but two full sizes? You got me. I tried THREE times to buy one of these shirts to fit the size and style. My last attempt (Lee size XXL, Everybody Else Size L), the neck / collar was SIGNIFICANTLY larger than the size just below it --- which made it look more like one of those awful multi-button Golf shirts than a 2-button Polo. I'm done with Lee. So irritating. ... show more

Purchased for wear in and out of the office, and I could not be more pleased. Nice flare on the collar, the shirt hugs my arms in an aesthetically pleasing way. It looks appropriate in the office, but also at happy hour later. This shirt is low maintenance, has plenty of length so that it stays tucked in, and if you have the body to pull it off - Slim Fit or Modern Fit is the name of the game these days. I am not a model. I do not have perfect proportions, I've still got a little more belly than I'd like. But I also lift, have broad shoulder and thick arms, and this shirt works fine for me. You don't need to be Brad Pitt to wear this thing and look good in it, but if you're a pear-shaped 'average american man' this is probably not the shirt for you. Very nice quality polo stye shirt!!! Seemingly well made, medium duty shirt, has been washed once and very little shrinkage. I would suggest ordering one size larger. This shirt is a modern almost slim fitting type, sleeves are shorter than normal giving it a tailored look. I would estimate the shirts come a 1/2 size smaller than standard fitting polo shirts, so if you're a fuller small size, I would suggest ordering a medium. This is a SLIM FIT shirt. It is made for guys who like their shirts contoured to their body. I purchased 2 of these for my son to wear to work. They are holding up just as expected. Slight fading over time but black is known for that. He has a very athletic build and wears his shirts fitted. If you have a "pudge belly" then this is not the shirt for you. He is 5'10, 175lbs and wears a M in this shirt. The arms are fitted and snug to the muscles. After all, this is what guys want who are showing off their hard gym work.
